There was this one announcer. I don't remember his name and I'm not sure where he even worked (Stampede?), but he had the voice of a 12-year-old midget. Agh. It was terrible. |

i luved it wen fink showed us hiz undees! I love Fink, and wish he would at least announce WrestleMania, but: 1) Justin Roberts earned the WM spot all year by busting his ass announcing every week, so it would be unfair to have Finkel announce, and... 2) I think WWE wants to appeal to a hipper and younger crowd. That's why J.R. isn't announcing (while Cole and Grisham are), and Justin Roberts is the #1 ring announcer. |

So if we all agree that Howard Finkel is the greatest ring announcer in wrestling history, I wonder how the other names rank. Is Lillian the second best? Is Justin Roberts? Tony Chimmmel? How does the list go? |

If this is strictly WWE, then I put Chimmel after Finkel. Then Garcia. Then probably Roberts. |

Yes! I know it's a bit of a running joke saying a WWE name will be headed to TNA, but I honestly can't wait until Matt Hardy is in TNA. I've wanted him there since all that crap with Edge and Lita five years ago. I'm a big Matt Hardy fan (big fan of both Hardys), so I'm all for this. It shows you just how hard it can be to get yourself fired from WWE, though. Even when trying to on purpose.

They probably didn't want him to go to TNA as they knew he would. That's why they made it difficult. |

The funny thing about that is that WWE always downplays TNA and claims they're not even on the radar, yet things like Matt Hardy's drawn out release always speaks a little differently. I'm not saying WWE is shaking in their boots that TNA might rise up, but I don't think they consider them to be quite as insignificant as they say they do. |

If they did say that it would just give the company credibility. |

Which is why they could always just ignore them completely, or if they must mention them make a brief mention of "another company" like they did in the WCW vs WWF days (WCW would drop WWF's name, but WWF didn't do it the other way around very often). The way they openly dismiss them, especially while many people heavily associated with WWE like Steve Austin admit to watching TNA regularly and so many of their talent is apparently eager to get there or has been there before, just makes WWE come off as even more arrogant than they usually do. |

Since it's a given that Matt is TNA bound, will he come in and join his brother, oppose his brother, or with this storyline have already died before Matt's 90 days are up? |

Matt's an awesome worker and a great dude to have on any roster, but he isn't going to do anything significant to TNA's TV ratings. Can this also be a prediction thread? ![]() The following will be released around late December/early January, which is when a lot of dudes get the pink slip... - The Bella Twins - Curt Hawkins - R-Truth (I hope) - Tiffany - Tyler Reks (I hope) - The Uso's - Vance Archer - Yoshi Tatsu. Luke Gallows is borderline, but I'm going to reserve judgement until Joseph Mercury returns from injury. Edited by In Brightest Day, Nov 14 2010, 05:25 AM.

Joseph Mercury? Was that the name he used when he returned? I only saw him once and it was when Kane came out during an SES promo and Mercury just stood there injured.

Yeah, he hasn't really had the chance to do anything yet, though. This is really Joey Mercury's second chance (He had a really bad drug and alcohol addiction during his last run in the WWE circa 2005-2007), so I'd be surprised if WWE released him so quickly. Since his return, his most notable moment was when he teamed with CM Punk and Luke Gallows against Big Show at SummerSlam, where they lost. Edited by In Brightest Day, Nov 14 2010, 05:39 AM.

I've heard somewhere that most of the NXT 2 guys are gone now (guys like Eli Cottonwood and...ok that's the only name I know because I don't know any of these people )? I couldn't find anything more on it, though, so it might just be bogus.

Man, I was thinking "Rhys Ali can't be gone. He's only the guy in the WWE from New Zealand since the Bushwhackers".

I remember the days when I used to know who all the developmental guys and girls were. Now? I can't even name half the WWE roster. ![]() In other words, I have no idea who pretty much all of those people are.

Shad. Seriously now, what the fuck was the point in splitting up Cryme Tyme? They weren't the greatest tag-team ever but they were a tag-team, and they were more valuable as a team than they became as singles guys (obviously). The team wasn't fresh anymore but it didn't need something as extreme as a split, either. Worst of all is that they tried to make some big angle of it and they half-assed it from the start, with the fans shitting on it from the beginning. Instead of canceling the split when confronted with the realization of how terrible it was going to go, they just kept going with it. God damn the people in WWE are fucking idiots! And I'm not even a Cryme Tyme/Shad fan! Gah! |

So, you're essentially complaining about something that wouldn't have (and didn't) change anything at all? Honestly, the tag team cycle just goes around in circles these days. Every time one team breaks up, another new generic team comes in and take it's place. Frankly, I'm glad Shad is gone. Everything Shad does, Ezekiel Jackson does 100x better (which is evident in the fact that big Zeke is actually over). JTG, while a relatively fun tag worker, is just another case of their being guys that do what he does, only better. As far as the rest of the list goes, I'm kind of surprised about Luke Gallows to be honest. I left him off of my 'future endeavored' list mainly because I assumed he would reform a team with Joey Mercury when he returned from injury. Otherwise, it's the who's who of who cares. Interesting that they got rid of Caylen Croft, yet didn't do the same with Trent Barretta. I guess it shows that they've got plans for him, or think he has potential. He's only 23, so I guess it's understandable. Edited by In Brightest Day, Nov 20 2010, 05:10 AM.

I'm complaining about how WWE seems to weaken their roster for no reason whatsoever. Cryme Tyme wasn't the greatest tag-team, but they were still a tag-team. And it just keeps happening. There is absolutely no reason why WWE can't have on of the greatest tag-team divisions of all-time. It's not like WWE believes tag wrestling is outdated now, they have tag-team matches all the time in WWE - especially in the main event. WWE just doesn't seem to want or know how to maintain a proper tag-team division. What's a shame, too, is that tag-teams have proven to be very good things for them in the past. Some of the most memorable moments of the Attitude Era were from tag-team matches, and some of the hottest stars in wrestling history came from tag-teams (where they could develop over the years). Instead it seems like they're in a rush to keep shipping out those singles stars and it shows just how flawed their technique is when almost every person keeps on failing. If WWE had it's way in the past, guys like Bret Hart, Michaels, the Hardys, Edge, Christian, etc would have all been out of their tag-teams within months of debuting and probably would have had a much rougher time moving up the ranks because of it. It annoys me because I know they can do better but instead they choose to fail. |

And an extremely over tag team at that. I don't know why, but I feel the desire to bring up the fact that Shad and JTG have been fired by WWE before only to be rehired again a few months later. Shad was terrible as a single guy (as is JTG), but WWE could always get a hair up their ass and bring them back again. |

Cryme Tyme was also a tag team that wasn't made by pairing two random faces/heels. I never liked them, but I found it odd that they never won the belts despite being over with the crowds. Whatever... |

I swear.. It was harder for me to get released then it was to get hired! This is ABSOLUTELY what I want, now I can be me! I wanna thank WWE for giving me an opportunity, & I thank all the people & friends that helped me there. But I HAD to move on to be happy.
