It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
He's changed his Twitter bio and now is selling his own merchandise on the Internet. So yes, he's gone.

That's all, huh? I was kind of expecting him to go nuts on what he didn't like about wwe. That's just the vibe I got from his twitter posts though.

I'm not so shocked. He's been pulling a smaller profile "Matt Hardy" for awhile now.

I'd be more shocked to see him have much of a bright future in wrestling outside of a possible WWE return.

Another guy who was just taking up roster space is finally gone. Thank god. See you back in TNA or ROH, I guess. :/

Former WWE wrestler MVP (a/k/a Hassan Hamin Assad) stated that he asked for his release. "No need for alarm," MVP wrote. "I did not get fired. I asked for and received my release. I felt it was time to go international and freshen things up.

"They're not screwing me this time. They're actually doing right by me. They've honored my request." When asked if international could mean working for New Japan, MVP wrote, "Perhaps." To read more, visit Twitter.com/the305MVP.

Lets hope he is serious about working in Japan and not just saying this to try to create a surprise appearance in TNA. I did like MVP when he was a new heel on SD!, but my interest in him started to fizzle when he went on that losing streak, got lower when he started his uneventful face turn, and completely died when he teamed with Mark Henry.

MVP going to TNA might be a good/bad thing for him, booking-wise.

This is something that's been brewing for months. There was talk he has been frustrated as of late. Seeing the younger stars are getting pushed and felt there wasn't a place for him much longer on the roster. When asked about this though, he clearly denied it but it was only a matter of time before the truth came to surface.

Quote:

WWE announced this evening that MVP has been released from his contract effective immediately earlier tonight. This is unusual as WWE does not normally publicly acknowledge a release until a worker has finished up all commitments with the company. MVP worked a match on Tuesday night from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia that was taped for tomorrow night's edition of Smackdown (full taping results).

MVP clarified on Twitter earlier tonight he did not get fired from WWE but instead asked for his release. Here's his exact Tweet: No need for alarm. I did not get fired . I asked for & received my release. I felt it was time to go international & freshen things up.

The former WWE United States Champion has been upset with his position in WWE for several months. I reported here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com on October 16th that sources close to MVP said he was unhappy in WWE and his days in the company "could be numbered".

MVP picked up on our story and quickly dismissed our report, accusing us of posting "unfounded" information. He did this to try and "save face" with WWE officials to prevent his spot from being further damaged in the company. I was assured by people close to MVP after his Tweet he was starting to explore options outside of WWE but he was denying any unhappiness in public.

MVP has always been considered a very talented worker but had been setback in WWE due to behavioral problems. His "know it all" attitude got him so much backstage heat in 2008 he did so many jobs it turned into a storyline that spanned five months. WWE slowly began to build MVP back up in early 2009 but he never achieved the success many felt was possible as his spot has dwindled towards the end of 2010. I even discussed MVP's unhappiness in WWE earlier today in the latest installment of the WNW Premium Mailbag.

As of now MVP will wait out his 90-day non-compete clause and will explore options on the independent scene. I would imagine he already has a plan in place as his release is something that has been building for months.

Very grateful to be working for a company that gives out bonus checks at Christmas instead of walking papers.

What was the point of having him win NXT, only to have him lose the majority of his matches then fire him only months later after a small injury? It just seems very wasteful of them.

This is a release that I'm glad about. Kaval sucks. He's terrible on the mic and boring in the ring. Bye.

And about the pink slip thing, yeah he got fired right before Christmas, but he's still going to get a big as severance pay and he's getting paid for the next 3 months as part of his 90 day no-compete. So he technically won't be unemployed until the end of March.

Charlie Haas called his former employer "classless" in a recent Tweet regarding the release of Kaval. Haas wrote the following:

Sorry to hear the news of Kaval being released. Especially before Christmas. What a gift. Shows how classless WWE is. Low Ki ur better off. Anyways. Kaval is one of the best talents in the world. No doubt he will prevail else where. Much respect and love for him.

Guess he didn't get that memo of Kaval asking for his release.

Ill miss MVP. I thought he was a good talent. And could have been the 2nd black wwe champion. That is right, ive just realised that King Booker was the only full black world champion in wwe history. The Rock was only half black. Crazy huh.

No I just realised Booker was the only black world champion in wwe history. I only pointed out the rock being half black becaue hes the only other wrestler that could be considered a black wwe champ.

How can you not like Kaval? Sure he wasn't the greatest on the mic, but he is an AMAZING wrestler. WWE needs that.

Your use of the word "amazing" is unsettling to me.
