Prowrestling.net reports that former WWE Tough Enough star Sofia Cortez (Ivelisse Velez) has been released from WWE. She had been under a developmental contract. It should be noted that she has since deleted her tweets on her Twitter account.
I saw her match on NXT, it wasn't too bad.

I personally was not a fan of A.W., but I did like the fact that WWE was using a manager again. I wonder if his fail will scrap any ideas of WWE wanting to maybe use managers again?
Possibly, but I think this will have a larger impact on how willing the company will allow the non main eventers to go off script.

Oh, I remember Abraham Washington, but never saw these guys. They must be SD! exclusives.
No, they've been on both Raw and SD! for the past few weeks.

@Linda_McMahon : Creates jobs my ass!! I'm fired thanks to you and your campaign.

Funny thing is, this probably would've blown over just like it did for Finlay and Daniel Bryan.

It's a fabulous new day, yes it is!
With Bryan, the guy pretty much kept most of the stuff to himself, but didn't shoot on WWE. With Finlay, I think it was worse for WWE than the Bryan issue given how they value the US Troops. Dealing with A.W. should be easier unless his rants gets covered by (non-wrestling) news websites.

BTW, WWE suspended A.W.'s Twitter account.

twnpnews.com

As A.W. predicted, his original Twitter account was suspended after the terminated WWE Superstar posted a multitude of messages disparaging his former employer and Vince McMahon’s wife Linda McMahon. A.W., however, set up another account under his real name, Brian Jossie, at BJRatedR and has continued to sound off on the sports-entertainment organization as well as Linda.

Jossie believes WWE had his original account shut down, writing, “Yeah the #WWE shut down my old account. It’s all good. It was fun while it lasted.” When asked whether the account was his property, he responded, “Not really sure. Although when it comes to the #WWE they own everything like Satan, including your soul, lol!”

Jossie, who blames Linda and her ongoing U.S. Senate campaign for his termination from WWE, subsequently posted three images ridiculing the political hopeful. In the first pic, he posted a joke poster of McMahon reading “UNSTOPPABLE”-a takeoff of the Barack Obama “Hope” poster. He then posted an unflattering photo of McMahon, noting, “Is it me or does Linda McMahon make Hilary Clinton look like Angelina Fucking Jolie!!” Jossie was also sent a side-by-side image of Linda and the Cryptkeeper and asked if he sees a resemblance. “Yep! CryptKeeper might have her beat,” he wrote.

Jossie had also tweeted, “@Linda_McMahon has cost more negroes jobs than hurricane Katrina!!” However, he stated minutes later that he doesn’t hate Linda and that he’s merely joking around.

“I don’t hate Linda, I’m doing what a comedian would do. Making light of a serious situation inorder to make people think!” Jossie wrote.

He then continued the Linda jokes, writing, “David Duke would hire my black ass before @Linda_McMahon!”

Jossie was also asked whether one needs to “play the game” in order to survive the politic minefield of WWE. He responded, “Politics is a must. Everyone plays the GAME!! Some (Divas) more than others….#WinkWink #HHH.”

A Twitter user sent Jossie a mock graphic proposing a Street Fight between himself and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XXIX, to which he responded, “Ha! Yeah I’d whoop that old man’s ass! I’d only do it if Shane and Steph joined in. #McMahonSmackdown!” He also noted “as soon as I see Vince on TV this Nike is gonna fuck my plasma up!!”

Jossie was also asked how WWE would have acted had he made a Mike Tyson rape joke rather than a Kobe Bryant one. “Nope I would have probably got a raise! #WhatTheFuck?” he responded.

Finally, Jossie was asked whether he’s calling out WWE for exposure, to be controversial, or out of bitterness. “I’m just saying my peace. I wish more people would be like JTG and not be afraid to speak up. #Courage,” he says.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Caylee Turner, the younger sister of Alicia Fox and a contestant on last year's "Tough Enough", was cut on Tuesday by WWE. Turner, real name Christina Crawford, was under a developmental deal.

Doesn't surprise me. She hasn't really made any headway in either announcing or her in-ring work. Pretty hilarious that the only person from Tough Enough who still has a job is the "Alicia Fox vs. Melina is my favourite match ever" girl. It must be an even bigger slap in the face to the other contestants who were on the show that she's on RAW every week too.

I remember him. They originally built him up as a monster heel... one year later, he's jobbing to Ryback. It's interesting how often this happens in wwe.

Tyler Reks was originally brought up with a Surfer gimmick on the ECW brand before being sent back down to Developmental when the brand got replaced by NXT. I always figured he'd just get forgotten about and released, but around late 2010 he got brought back up to the main roster and that's when he received the big monster push which annoyed the fuck out of me. Reks was pretty bad in the ring and IMO didn't have the upside to warrant the push either. A few months after that he was working Superstars with Chris Masters every week and has been ever since.

Frankly, I'm not going to miss him, but I'm really glad he's decided to leave WWE to actually be a responsible adult.

Shaul Guerrero, who went under the name Raquel Diaz in WWE's NXT developmental territory in Florida, asked and was granted her release from the company this week.

That sucks. She had done some really strong character work over the past year or so in Developmental. There was a lot of potential there.

When I read that a daughter of a Hall of Famer had left I was thinking to myself "please let it be Flairs daughter. PLEASE let it be Flairs daughter." :(

WWE announced Friday afternoon via WWE.com that the organization has come to terms on the release of former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly.

"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012. WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors," their statement reads.

Minutes after the announcement, Kelly wrote on Twitter, "Had an amazing 6 years with wwe made great friends and have the most loyal and amazing fans in the world thanks for the never ending support. Have exciting things in the works can't wait to share them with you stay tune."

After taking a hiatus in May, it was rumored that Kelly was looking to part ways with the organization to pursue modeling and acting endeavors. WWE officials attempted to sign her to a new, longer contract, but no agreement was reached.

Initially a catalog model, Kelly debuted on WWE's ECW brand in June 2006, with the character of an exhibitionist. She became a popular wrestler in the ensuing years, culminating with a Divas Championship victory in June 2011. After taking time off in May, she made a few WWE appearances in August before disappearing again.

Is it safe to say that the WWE is now at least 5 percent more classy? By default?

This isn't a surprising release. WWE hasn't used Kelly Kelly in like a year, it seems. But with Kelly Kelly leaving and Beth Phoenix leaving soon, I wonder if the Diva's division will get a face lift or if the rumor of Triple H wanting to phase out women's wrestling and focus on tag wrestling comes true.

The first WWE release confirmed is Trent Baretta.

Baretta was signed to a developmental deal in 2008 and first appeared on the main roster of the company as one half of the Dudebusters with Caylen Croft.

After Croft was released from the company, Baretta moved into a low level singles run, most notably getting a surprise win over Drew McIntyre in 2011.

Baretta was forced out of the ring later that year with a torn biceps, leading to a "Where's Trent" joke online amongst WWE talents, including Zack Ryder's Youtube series. Even after he recovered, he was only used sparingly by WWE.

Baretta is already booked for Pro Wrestling Syndicate over Wrestlemania weekend in Metuchen, NJ, where he will be facing Sonjay Dutt. For more, visit www.ProWrestlingSyndicate.com.
I just read somewhere that Zack Ryder is supposedly on the chopping block, too.

Who the heck knows? Maybe he's safe? Wrestling internet sites are the most unreliable things ever. For the record, I think Ryder's YouTube series came to an end today, though. Dolph Ziggler "kills" him and he meets up with John Morrison in heaven.

WWE developmental Diva Skyler Moon has been released from her developmental deal with the company. She was known in California as Buggy Nova before signing with WWE.
