Rumors and gossip. It's always fun to at least look at the rumors, even if we may not believe them. So why not create a thread where we can post rumors to discuss. These rumors are note cited by creditable sources and have every likelihood of being completely wrong. But there may be a small sliver of truth to any of them. Either way, they are fun to at least read.

Today's rumors

Let me step aside for a second for site editor Geno Mrosko: After seeing the rumor about CM Punk having an attorney send a letter to WWE over royalties, I was curious enough to ask around. I was told "this situation has been brewing for some time and it's either going to get really ugly or they're going to work something out and you just won't hear about it". So there you go.

Regarding Ryback, his injuries apparently aren't nearly as bad as he was playing up and he'll be back in the fold within a month or two.

If Charlotte loses the NXT women's championship at Takeover 2 (Electric Boogaloo), it's almost certainly because she's getting called up to the main roster.

TNA has recently told the wrestlers that despite not having shows scheduled beyond Bound for Glory and the TV deal still not done, they shouldn't worry and all is fine both until the end of this year and into 2015.

Although Bully Ray hasn't signed a new deal with TNA, apparently there are those within the company who believe he will work the next set of tapings and be inducted into the Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory as has already been announced. His saying goodbye to the roster before his contract ran out may have been a negotiating tactic and he could be re-signed at any time.

It's now being said that while Sting is still almost 100-percent to come in to WWE, he won't be seen at least until 2015 and likely only in the lead up to WrestleMania 31. There may be some tease of something before the Royal Rumble to push that show.

Regarding the Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton and Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt matches scheduled for Raw next Monday night, it's not expected that those will be blowoff matches to those feuds but rather set up matches for the blowoff at Night of Champions. Not sure about this one, but stay tuned.

Kenta will officially debut in NXT at the Takeover 2 (Electric Boogaloo) event next Thursday night and it's expected he will immediately be a major player, possibly in the title picture right off the bat or very soon after he starts wrestling.

Like with Charlotte, don't be surprised if The Ascension lose the NXT tag team titles to Sin Cara and Kalisto at Takeover 2 (Electric Boogaloo) it's likely because they are being called up to the main roster soon.

It's expected that TNA's Bound for Glory pay-per-view, traditionally its biggest of the year, will not air live in the United States. Instead, it will air via tape delay at its normal time slot of 8 p.m. ET on Sun., Oct. 12. The show takes place in Tokyo, Japan.

The Sting and Bound For Glory stuff seems obvious. Did anyone really expect to see Sting in WWE before WM season? And it'd be pretty impossible for TNA to broadcast in the USA while they are in Japan. The time differences are just too massive.

I really hate the Ascension. I know they'll probably be called up, but I sincerely hope they are a massive fail. I want them to fail worse than Adam Rose. So, they'll probably get over and/or win the Tag Team Titles immediately. :-/

I think it's a bit early to call Charlotte up to the main roster. She isn't exactly a ring general, and I don't see how/where she'd fit in the current product.

If Kenta is as good as people say, then he probably won't be in NXT too long. I'm not even sure why he is in NXT.

Brock Lesnar is still expected to defeat John Cena in their rematch at Night of Champions, possibly with interference from The Authority to set up his next program.

Regarding Lesnar's next opponent, this may be the most infuriating rumor you'll read. His next expected opponent, who would be challenging for the WWE world heavyweight championship? BIG SHOW. Yes, BIG SHOW. We put the disclaimers all over this post so you know not to simply take all this as fact but we'll say it again just to make ourselves feel better: this is just a rumor for now and it's not guaranteed this is the direction they will go.

There's another rumor going around, this one apparently spread by Konnan on MLW, that Daniel Bryan elected to have his surgery when he did because he was told he would be doing the exact same job to Brock Lesnar that John Cena did in the exact same manner he did it. So, perhaps thinking his body couldn't hold up to such a thing, Bryan elected to surgery. Or at least that's the word.

Speaking of Bryan, there's another rumor going around that he's been told he won't need another surgery and doctors are letting him heal naturally. It's expected he'll be back by Royal Rumble.

Regarding the short lived Cheap Pops YouTube series that WWE released recently and then almost immediately pulled, the word is that happened because it was a far better product than the WWE Network exclusive Slam City. Not sure how plausible that is, but there you go.

These rumors are really stretching it today. A lot of "he said this other guy told me that maybe this might have happened" kind of rumors. But the idea of another Brock vs Show feud makes me cringe.

Big Show vs Lesnar is easy to build right now, considering Brock injured him at the Rumble. I hope WWE doesn't give Show an automatic title shot, but he can easily get in through a Battle Royale (even if he lost one at WM, lol). Or they could use Orton's pending rematch as an excuse to make him feud against Lesnar without using Show or having all three feud together.

WWE is advertising Dean Ambrose for the Raw television event on September 22 in Memphis, Tennessee at FedEx Forum.

I've been reading there is a chance he could show up at the Night of Champions PPV, which happens the night prior to this return date.

Raw has been lacking without him. I haven't seen the "premiere" yet, but the shows as a whole are much duller without Bryan and Ambrose.

There is talk in WWE right now of Bray Wyatt feuding with Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship as his next program.

The steel cage match Wyatt had on RAW with Chris Jericho was said to be the blow-off to their program.

As far as Wyatt's status for Night Of Champions is concerned, there is talk that while he may not compete in an actual match on the show, he may shoot an angle of some kind to set up his next feud.

Wyatt as IC Champion would be completely fine. For the love of it all, let Bray Wyatt go over somebody. Damn. He's been losing since WrestleMania, it seems.

Bray is too good to be Intercontinental champion, and Dolph is too good to job right after a title win. This is all around a bad idea. Lose/lose.

I would have loved seeing Bryan take the summerslam beating. Omg the his annoying fans would have had a fit. Would have been lovely. My number 1 favorite thing about DBryan is his fans reactions when he gets "screwed over"

If he didn't got injured, I think WWE would have had The Authority stripping him from the belt (which could have been easily done say, right after WM), "fire" him and have Cena win at MITB and jobs to Lesnar. Bryan would have been put once again to feud with The Authority and returns by SummerSlam and maybe we wouldn't have the Bella twins storyline.

Lesnar beating Cena like that looks more impactful than Bryan receiving the beating from Lesnar given his size.

Apparently there's been talk of pairing Tyler Breeze with The Miz when he's called up to the main roster and giving Miz a legitimate stable that would be called his entourage.

This isn't so much a rumor as a rumor killer but Sheamus has come out and openly acknowledged that the Star Wars rumors are complete fabrications and he won't be featured in the upcoming movies.

Miz starting an entourage could be entertaining. He is doing some really good work right now, and Sandow has been a good pairing for him. But can't help but remember the last guy that Miz tried to get over was Alex Riley and oh my fucking god how fucking horrible was that fucking shit!? I like Tyler Breeze. His gimmick does fit in with Miz's current gimmick well enough to be paired together. I dunno. I'd be cautious but optimistic.

And I never believed Sheamus was playing Vader anyway.

Doesn't WWE already has Adam Rose with an entourage? I mean, WWE doesn't have two wrestlers doing the same type of thing often.

Sheamus was rumored to be in the Star Wars films?

Sheamus was rumored to be Darth Vader. I don't think he was rumored to have any lines, only to be the big guy under the suit.

The original Darth Vader, the guy under the suit isn't the same guy we hear talking. They have a voice actor and someone completely different under the suit. But, really, any talk guy with reasonable bulk could pull off the roll.

It is believed that Bully Ray either has agreed to terms with TNA to finish out the tag team title series and work the upcoming taping schedule in Bethlehem, Pennslyvania or TNA has made an offer in the hopes of at least getting him to come back for that.

With the future still uncertain, TNA is likely going to be cutting together a few episodes of Impact that would act as special clip shows featuring footage they've already shot from past shows. This is both to save money and fill gaps in programming until the new TV deal is signed.

Regarding those rumors of something being up between Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWE, he's apparently been talking about training hard in anticipation of getting ready for a match at WrestleMania 31 in the event the two sides can come to terms. Austin vs. John Cena is a direction they could go.

This is starting to become a yearly rumor. Last year, the rumor was a possible Austin vs Punk match. That would be a match I'd gladly pay to see. I'll still pay to see Austin wrestle Cena (Network subscriber, duh), but I'd rather not see Austin return just to lose to John Cena.

Cena beating Austin would be almost worth it for crowd reaction alone IF AND ONLY IF the crowd tosses garbage and chairs towards the ring or something else happens post-match. But I somehow don't want to see Austin returning against anyone at all. But I think he might have come out of retirement for Punk, but that's no longer gonna happen unless WWE puts it as the final match of the card for WM.

WWE has made some surprising decision. The fact that Bret Hart and Ultimate Warrior came back shows that WWE is willing to get over the past, if there is money to be made. If Austin were to say "I'll come back only if I can wrestle Punk", then Punk will be back. But who is to say that Austin doesn't want to wrestle Cena? He seems to praise the guy each time I hear him speak of Cena.

Randy Orton is apparently frustrated with WWE and their direction for his character, and he has reportedly requested for some time off. Orton would like to recharge his batteries but WWE is so thin at the top of the card that officials are trying to appease Orton by giving him more camera time.

Did you miss the "are trying to appease Orton by giving him more camera time. " part? Reigns is out. Bryan isn't returning for a few more months or whenever, who knows. Brock is rumored to be skipping HIAC. Means more Orton for you in October :tu:

They may give him more screen time, but they're not going to give him what he wants. I'm betting he takes some time off.
