HIAC is Sunday and people are discussing all over the internet which hiac match deserves to be the final match and main event. Whereas Roman vs Rusev feels like a personal and bitter rivalry and while Sasha vs Charlotte is a feud that has built wonderfully over the course of 3 or 4 years in a rivalry that started in NXT and carried over to the main roster, here we open the show with what in all likelihood will be the actual main event in Rollins vs Owens and the entire segment was about the list of jericho. are you kidding me? the list of jericho is perfectly fine as a side joke. but we are on the final show leading into HIAC where Rollins and Owens will fight for the top title on the brand and we focus on the list of jericho? owens and rollins are 2 of the top guys in the business and 2 of my absolute favorites and there is no doubt these 2 will have a great match at any time. but as far as a hiac match is concerned, the build has been the weakest of the 3 and it is no wonder why a lot of people would rather see Sasha vs Charlotte close the show.

Kevin Owen's backstage promo alone was better than the entire opening segment. this is what the opening promo should have been about

there sure was a lot of filler on this show and i wont even hide that i fast forwarded through a lot. New Day? skip. Curtis Axel? skip. R Truth? Skip. arm wrestling? skip. Cruiserweights? skip.

Charlotte is one of the best on the roster, but she confuses talking loud as the same as expressing emotions. Foley's passion for the HIAC really shined bright though.

they brought brock back for that promo? goldberg gave possibly the best promo of his career last week and this week we get heyman forcing fan chants? i gotta be honest about survivor series: my interest is really low. i just domt care about raw vs sd matches because nothing is at stake. the goldberg vs lesnar match is currently the only thing i am interested in. hope other good matches are added

KO's apron powerbomb is always a thing of beauty. as good as the friendship of ko and jericho are, i often wonder if it hides ko's awesomeness.

next monday is halloween. i expect cameo appearances by a host of gimmicks such as the boogeyman or hornswoggle.

i agree with the gerneral opinion: raw was bad this week. i know we compare raw and sd every week, but if sd cant "win" this week, then just fire all the writers and start over

Oh Cyburs my sad little friend. I know your not "talking to me" at the moment, but that doesn't mean I can't reply to your crazy posts (:

Rollins v Owens got the worst build? Hmm interesting considering their segments were the only good parts of Raw this week. Charlotte and Sasha couldn't keep up with Foley in a dragged on contract signing. Rusev and Reigns at little promos. If you mean has an entire build, sure Charlotte and Sasha have been facing eachother almost every ppv since they came to WWE. Rusev and Reigns have faced eachother so many times even before their fued started.

As for The list of Jericho. What I don't think you understand is that their is two separate storylines going on here. And they got so much time this week, both stories got spotlight. You got Jericho and Owen's friendship. Which at some point will implode and is easily the most over storyline in WWE right now. So you may be right that Jericho might be overshadowing the awesomeness of KO right now but that's okay because the payoff of this story will allow him to shine. And Seth Rollins isn't getting lost in this. He continues to have good promos with Steph backstage. Continues to have good matches with Jericho. And the brawl at the end of Raw was awesome and got me pumped for their match on Sunday. Also I think Rollins and Owens have both hyped the Cell match the best. Without seeming like their forcing it like the other 2.

I'm still banking on (no pun intended) Charlotte/Sasha being on last, just because I feel like WWE will expect fans to act like they did last month where a lot said to have turned off after Ziggler/Miz because that was the biggest match to them...even if the other two matches will be better (and I'm expecting them to), I think most, if not all, will want to see the women's match even if they don't care because it'll either be a shitshow or something incredible. It will be a spectacle.

As for Jericho/Rollins/Owens, though I don't think Rollins was very strong on the mic at all this week (though I loved his promo last week), I think a lot of this storyline is about mind games, and Jericho turning on Owens or vice versa does take away their focus on Rollins. Last night was a perfect example of that. Rollins was able to beat both guys in what turned out to be a handicapped match, and the duo together beat on him after. What this does, even in Jericho's mind, is say Rollins loses the title, Owens keeps the title and Jericho will say he "deserves" a match because he's his best friend and owes him one. If Owens loses, then him being friends with Jericho meant nothing in the end and they will probably start their rivalry then. It's very good booking and foreshadowing and it's something I wish they would do more often.

But what Rollins also did was turn the list and used it to get under Owens as well, listing all the body parts he's going to destroy or whatever it was, so he used the list against him. Not only that, but when he tried to make it sound like Owens is on the list, another tactic to get in his head and take his focus off the defense. By doing that, it also made the cell that much more important, because then Jericho can't get in the way, and the brawl last night showed that these two will kill one another to get/keep the belt.

i am well aware of the KO vs Jericho feud we are going to be getting soon and i do anticipate it. but we are heading into HIAC Sunday. This was not the week to spend so much time on the secondary, underlining storyline. all focus should have been on Rollins vs KO inside HIAC this week. Rumor has it Jericho may be added to the match as special ref or something. but even that doest warrant the misstep this week.

after the success of Talking Smack, Raw is apparently going to try out a post show as well. it will be called Raw Talk and is suppose to debut after HIAC. would people really want what is basically a 4th hour of Raw? i have watched Talking Smack a few times when something big happens, but not weekly. i mean, if something big happens on Raw Talk i would check it out too. but idk if people are clamoring for more Raw on Monday nights

The reason Talking Smack is so good is because SmackDown itself doesn't have the 20 minute promos like Raw does...it gives the characters the chance to elaborate and evolve their characters without wasting a fuckload of time and drag the show on like Raw constantly does...giving Raw a show like that for people I'm already sick of to talk more is flat out terrible. I'm already going to stop watching Raw live because it seriously makes me angry and watching a show like that isn't healthy, so I am absolutely not for this.

Also, according to Bryan Alvarez, it is confirmed that Vince ended the Lesnar/Goldberg promo early. I guess he decided to tell the producers to cue Lesnar's music prematurely because the promo went off the rails that bad. Not surprising at all, and I think Heyman on twitter was said to acknowledge how bad it is, so I wonder what happens with that.

I was thinking about them doing a show like that for RAW. But the way it SHOULD be done is have RAW be 2 1/2 hours and then have the Raw talk show on USA network. No?

No 'cause USA Network. Also I'm sure WWE would want to do it to get more streams for original and live content to WWE Network. But that's another ridiculous thing WWE does. Everyone complained at how long WrestleMania was, and that's the ONE show everybody watches. Everyone complains how long Raw is, and they even see how the third hour regularly loses to the first hour in ratings. So what's the solution? More pre and post-shows!!! Yay!!!

Gallows is creaming Enzo with a candy corn kendo stick. Second day in a row I get a kendo stick spot :)

This was honestly the most Attitude Era match I've watched since the era ended. It was so ridiculous and dumb but Enzo and Cass are so over the fans were flipping for each hit with a pumpkin or apple bobbing as if it were Rock and Austin fighting. It was great.

This reminds me of the Raw after WrestleMania. They've gone full meta by first erasing Heyman's terrible promo from last week by having him repeat half of the lines in front of a more Goldberg-positive crowd; and then erasing the fact that Sasha and Charlotte was booked as the "top match" and instead saying that Owens/Rollins was the match that made history.

Not a direct comment at anything on this show, but I REALLY miss Triple H not for any other reason than the fact that any PPV match where he would get his ass kicked he would always come on Raw the next night looking like complete shit. I always loved how he would be one of those that would put bandages over only some cuts but the worst ones would be exposed showing how deep it was. I miss that.

2012 ROYAL RUMBLE WINNER MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
Here is my Raw review, in depth, not being on my phone, not paying attention to my twins, focusing on Raw because otherwise if my eyes aren't glued to the screen, I'm missing a shit ton of what's going on.

The Goldberg beginning was okay. I'm not much of a fan of Goldberg and I didn't like Rusev jobbing so hard to him. The little scuffle was botched a bit but they recovered but I find it hard to believe that Rusev wouldn't be able to get out of Goldberg just holding him in place and setting up for the Jackhammer. Boo.

The Trick or Street Fight match between Gallows and Anderson and Enzo and Cass...Loved the costumes they wore. Enzo and Cass are loads of fun to watch. I'll admit, I say Enzo's intro word for word as does my wife, we do the hand gestures...it's fun. For the match...Baseball slide was a bit weak by Enzo. Using the skellaton as a weapon, come on, it's plastic. Good sell by Gallows. Then the commercial...I don't like how the USA Network is advertising Christly Knows Best, to me, it ruined this match. I'm sorry if it's just me but that one ad during commercial, ruined. I don't mean to nitpick but it's a pet peeve of mine...

Okay, fine, I'll stop now. It's finally back on, I don't know, this match seems messy. What's the point? Is it jus me, or was it that back in the day, they didn't hit with kendo sticks as hard as they do now? I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, lol. That ending was heavily botched though. From Cass putting the pumpkin on Gallows head (Gallows needed to assist with that), and then the missed DDT off the top of the rope. Very rough. Anderson getting put through the table via big boot from Cass was a neat spot.

A spear from Goldberg shouldn't result any one going to the hospital, come on. The Brian Kendrick looks good with that title though, I'll admit that. Aaaand commercial break.

The little promo that Kendrick cut on TJ, not bad. I don't remember much from The Brian Kendrick back when he was first with WWE but he's decent on the mic, makes for a pretty good heel. But Perkins is fun to watch. It's nice to have a great cruiserweight to watch...aaaaand commercial break.

That hurricarana from the top rope to the outside...TJ's neck looked like it took a brutal fall on the edge of the ring. That ending though...typical heel move. I don't mind it, a heel will do what he has to do to win. The little feud between these two isn't too bad.

Braun Strowman is terrible, I know he'll likely win this battle royal. Him threatening Foley and Foley admitting he's scared...? Da fuq...Foley has gone against much scarier looking dudes. But okay, whatever, gotta make him look strong. Boooringgg. Aaannnd commercial break!

I love Jericho and KO so much together. They are so good at what they do. Not sure how I feel about the way Roman holds the US Title...like maybe I'm okay with it but at the same time, maybe I'm not? I dunno. My favorite way of holding the title is over the shoulder in front, the way Owens was holding his. That's just a weird pet peeve of mine. Anyways...Roman before Rollins for Team Raw? Hm, okay. Jericho can make any one look good during promos. He made Roman look pretty good. And he'll make him look good during their match.

Why show the main event from last night in pictures? Ugh, that's so annoying. Granted, it was a great match, some weak spots with the tables, but it still told a great story. Stop playing hot potato with that damn title you fucking fuckers.

It's battle royal time with Zayn coming out aaaannnndddd commercial break.

Bo Dallas getting tossed out along with R Truth, not surprising. But to have Braun go out between the middle ropes...typical. Aaaannnd commercial break.

Nice team work by Cesaro and Sheamus. Come on Curtis go go gooooo...oh. :( Bye bye Titus and Goldust. lol, saw that coming...Cesaro taking out Sheamus. I knew it was going to be some combination of that. Come on Zayn...too bad it wont happen. Gotta protect Braun. I wasn't convinced that Sami had a chance to take him out even at that spot...Nice try WWE.

Aaaand commercial break.

Another ad for Emmalina...okay Curt Hawkins.

Love Byron Saxton's onesie outfit. He's rocking it. Cole said he was Vince, so what is Corey?

I love the New Day. Their costumes were great. The New Day not taking a stab at American Alpha? Oookay, lol. New Day Rock. New Day Rocks!

Another 6 man tag team match...come on. Do something else with this division. This is going to be boring. Please stop doing this WWE. Aaaaand commercial break!

I always feel like the cruiserweight matches always end up in a roll up pin. Some fun spots of high flying goodness. An ending that didn't result in a roll up victory. Super kick to the face and a weird pin...okay. I just don't know enough about these wrasslers to care too much about it...

Aaaand commercial break.

I love the way Charlotte comes out right now. Very fitting for the best women's wrestler on the entire roster in my opinion. I'll admit it, I've got a huge crush on her but she is so damn good in the ring. I thought the back and forth between Charlotte and Bayley was fine, Bayley can be a little rough on the mic at times and other times be really good, tonight she was just a tad bit rough, no worries tho, I enjoyed the promo between the two. I totally called her opponent as Nia Jax, so hopefully they'll have a good match...aaaand commercial break!

Not too bad of a match in my opinion. I figured Nia Jax would win, they have to keep showing her dominance in the division. I like Nia Jax, she can get a tad bit stale at times but I enjoyed the match. I'm sorry WWEFootos, I couldn't have my 100% undivided attention on this match to witness every single moment as I had to feed one of my kids. Hopefully you'll understand, if not, I guess I'll have to watch it tomorrow on Hulu to give a more complete review of the match.

Aaaannnd commercial break.

I would prefer to have Cesaro in the hunt for the Universal Title scene. He's too good of a talent to be doing tag team matches and not going after some sort of title...even having him feud with Roman for the US title would be fine. I don't much care for The Shining Stars, almost like Dumb and Dumber. I don't caarreeee...but I must watch this match, otherwise it doesn't count. It seems like they have good chemistry though, so I dunno. Hopefully they don't get a scoop rollup pin victory over two wrasslers that need to be booked better, lol. The finish wasn't too bad, I think I do like that they have a heel and baby face together, it's working well for them but I can't help but think that their talents could be better utilized.

And commercial break.

Love seeing all the Jericho/KO costumes from fans, pretty epic.

The Golden Truth bit in the haunted house...alright. Not sure how I feel about them anymore. I feel like the novelty has worn off with the duo. Goldust is in amazing shape though.

It would be such a swerve move to have Jericho beat Roman...please let it happen. It won't though.God damn, I loved that back stage segment between the two best friends. Saying It together at the same time after like, a 20 second silence bit...priceless. I don't think they could do anything wrong...they could punt a puppy and I'd be like "Whoa that was awesome did you see the distance it got?!"

So far, not too bad of a match. Like KO helping Jericho, true heels. Like I said, Jericho can make anyone look good. Put him in the ring with Ellsworth and we'll all think he's US title worthy, lol. I'm glad Jericho added the Codebreaker as a finishing move, I like it much more than the Boston Crab/Walls of Jericho. I miss the Lion Tamer where he would put his knee in the lower back of his opponent. Not surprised by the ending of the match, wasn't expecting Jericho to win. Are they trying to hint a small Shield reunion? I missed the entire Shield stable but have only heard good things about them. So that would be cool.

Overall, the entire show was ruined with the USA Network advertising one of their biggest shows on another of their biggest shows...I'm kidding. I enjoyed Raw. Not too bad of a showing, especially after HIAC. That's gotta be brutal, doing a big PPV like that and then having to compete the very next night.

Man, I love Jericho and Owens together. Please let them stay together forever.

i agree with you. the way a champion holds his title matters a lot. they should hold or wear the title with prestigue, like it is the most important thing. when someone holds the belt wrong, or acts like it is just in their way....it annoys the fuck out of me and takes me out of the moment

Nah you're good, like I said, Hulu itself gives a skewed view of the show anyway so who knows whether the review will be tainted.

But I think as a whole, just to end this whole thing, I can't watch a show anymore and say "the show was great." Perception plays a part, yes, but I think what makes critical reviews like a Bryan and Vinny or AV Club or Rolling Stone different is because it's their job to watch the entire thing and review it. When I started doing that, it gave me a much different feeling than just picking and choosing, or even simply having it on in the background. I start to analyze things more like where the Cruiserweights are placed, or how many moves can Dana mess up this week, or even how many times they run the same fucking commercial, and begin questioning what the point of the show is rather than simply moments. Casual viewers can look at the Goldberg episode and see it as this incredible thing where they built the guy up as amazing and had him come out last, but to me, I see 3 hours of TV that failed to entertain me aside from the great main event feud, and THEN a great segment where they somehow ended up running 20 minutes over even though they had over an hour of filler on the show they could have easily cut to make it fit.

Then I wonder why production-wise they wasted time on a guy like Bo Dallas who literally got no reaction, why a bulk of commercial time was for a PPV they aren't promoting for buys, how come they want to build this cruiserweight thing as "unique" but then use it like the equivalent of a PPV piss-break match, but then ran the show until 11:25 ET even though the last 25 minutes would count as part of the third hour anyway and it doesn't provide a major spike in the ratings anymore.

No normal person should be thinking that, yet that was the stuff that I would look at when analyzing a show, and I wanted to see if others saw that too if they would actually take the time to watch the entire thing. That was all.

I only skip commercials and the early stages of matches. Other than that I watch everything. Even Goldust and R Truth walking through the haunted where ever they were. I see everything, yet it still makes it easier to watch.

Here we go just watched RAW and it was a decent show. Much better than last week.

Opening. I don't get why people thought a bad segment would ruin this entire feud. People are dumb sometimes. This was a very good segment. The crowd was into Goldberg, Paul Heyman was back on his game. Goldbergs Jackhammer and Spear looked shaky, but what can ya do, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. As for Rusev, I think this may be the beginning of the end for him. And it's no one's fault. It's not Rusev's, he's a fine talent. It's not the WWE's. Their is just only so much you can do with the anit-american character. They always have an expiration date, and although I'm sure he'll stick around awhile, it's going to be a steady decline from here.

Street fight. This was kind of silly. And sloppy. And I didn't really enjoy it. The ending was awful. Moving on.

Battle Royal. So far so good at building Braun Strowman. I like that he's on the RAW team. A showdown with him and Bray Wyatt would be pretty cool.

Charlotte. Charlotte IS the best female wrestler on the mic of all time. Only one better is Stephanie McMahon. This was a pretty good segment. One thing I didn't like was that Seth Rollins was the ONLY one who sold the fact that they were in a Hell In A Cell matchthe night before. Like Whosey said, the days of guys like Triple H who had bruises and bandages after brutal matches are long gone. Now are the days of wrestlers with too large of move sets and little wrestling sense. I still enjoy it, I can see why ratings have been lowering and lowering since 2009.

As for Bayley v Jax. This is the type of match where Bayley can shine. She's not the type of wrestler who should be squashing jobbers. Her taking on big Nia gives her a chance to show that loveable underdog side to her. Should is the keyword. Because she didn't. Her moveset just doesn't fit. She's a tiny girl with no muscle. Why does she have so many strength moves? She should be like Daniel Bryan. The little guy.

Cruiserweight matces. Title match was again good. These two work well together. Perkins had to stop doing that one move though. The other match was your usual cruiserweight match. Rich Swann continues to be my favorite cruiserweight.

Sheamus and Cesaro. I don't know. I like these two together. I hope they win the belts once New Day breaks the record.

Main Event Stuff. Roman Reigns really is a good wrestler. I saw someone compare him to Kevin Nash the other day. First off Kevin Nash is a legend. But yes his title reign was a horrible time in WWE. But Roman Reigns is a much better wrestler than Nash. The fans just don't like him. Time for a heel turn. I know according to Cyburs he's already turned heel. But in reality he's still a face. Time to switch that up.

The match between him and Jericho was really good. The we want Rollins chant and him coming out to save Roman and the stare between him and Roman. Good stuff.

Survivor Series. I like the idea of RAW v Smackdown matches. If the 4 big PPVs are the only time of year they do interpromotonal, I'm okay. But they have to keep the rosters separate and crossovers a big deal. What I don't like the idea of is no title matches at Survivor Series. It looks like the Cruiserweight title will be the only championship match. They should have had at least one of the world champions defend their title at the PPV.

Anyways that's my review. Hope I didn't miss anything. Read and learn my friends.

I definitely agree with y'all about wrestlers not selling the fact that they were in brutal matches the night before. Roman was like "Yeah, I'm tired from last night, heh"...no fucker. You don't look tired. You look refreshed and ready to go! Sell that shit, it's so easy WWE.

Ohhhhhhhh yeah!!!! I forgot to praise Chris Jericho. Silly me!! The guy continues to be the best in the world. The list is the most over thing in wrestling. And him NOT puting Roman on the list when the crowd wanted it so bad was brilliant. He's a heel. The crowd loves him. He still gets heel heat. That's how it's done. Chris Jericho should be the blue print for any young wrestler on how to be a heel. I honestly feel lucky to be watching this part of his career.

Raw was pretty good this week. But man those Survivor Series team meeting segments were awful.

We'll start with the one that wasn't so bad which was the opening. I like what their trying to do. All of them were solid on the mic. Jericho and Owens were funny. Braun running through them made sense. And the fatal 5 way got me excited to stick around for the end. Successful opening.

Tag Team. Started off okay. But it just dragged on in the worst way. The heels threatening to quit, then deciding their in because Big E said the Braveheart line....what am I watching?

Women. Charlotte was good to start. But again this dragged on painfully. Alicia Fox is the worst of the worst and she had too much mic time. A babyface screaming over a crowd to get her point across was hard to watch. At least Sasha kept it short and when she tried to speak again Charlotte was having none of it. Best part was when Charlotte was to the crowd "I won't forget this" so funny. The Lindsay Lohan line funny. Charlotte gets it.

Zaynn. What did I tell you last week? Rusevs days are numbered. Dolph v Zaynn is match of the night for sure.

Main Event. Not as good as I was hoping but still fun and the ending was cool.

See, that's what happens when I get a job. I don't watch the shows live, have nothing to bitch about because I watch nothing but recaps that cut out all the negative things, and am satisfied.

The best part though is I was reading the recap of the show last night during my break when I suddenly realize that the dude sitting right across from me was watching clips from the show. He hadn't yet seen the Ellsworth/Jericho thing and so I was able to share that and how hilarious I thought it was. We then both agreed that in terms of how long they've been utterly entertaining, Jericho might be the most charismatic wrestler ever.

Good times.

From what I saw last night, the Goldberg/Lesnar segment and the show's ending were the best parts of it.

I lol' when The Club cheered on Enzo to go for the splash on Primo, but then Gallows goes for the pin instead. That was funny.

Also funny, USA Network advertising Shooter while Sin Cara walks his way to the ring.

Unfunny: Seth Rollins saying that if he wanted to dress like Jericho, he would have raided Lady Gaga's closet.

Roman was protected a lot last night. Somehow, Owens wasn't too noticeable during the final physical brawl.

I hope someone takes out Nia Jax in 3 minutes or less at Survivor Series.

Sorry people, haven't had much time to post on the forums, I'm not going to declare that my absence is the cause of the lack of activity around the forums...just been busy now all of a sudden.

I wasn't a fan of the odd matches...why were Enzo/Cass teaming with Gallows/Anderson? Why not team with Golden Truth, two face teams vs two heel teams...Charlotte/Sasha vs Nia/Fox, why? I was okay with Jericho/Rollins/Braun vs The New Day, but the other matches, why? Owen/Roman...eh, whatever. I'm over it.

Zayn vs Bobo...squash match for Zayn? Eh, who cares about Bobo...

The Goldberg/Lesnar promo got me a little bit hyped for the match, though I think Goldberg isn't very good on the mic.

Rollins isn't as funny as he thinks he is...the bit about raiding Lady Gaga's closet...uh...okay? Jericho and Owens were spot on like always. Loved them together.

I liked the ending promo with both teams standing face to face, that was neat-o. I knew they weren't going to let Smackdown go over on Raw.

What a neat show this week, look forward to Smackdown.
