The series centers on Nathan Fielder, portrayed by his real-life namesake, a business graduate and consultant whose aim is to help struggling businesses. His marketing proposals are often outlandish and elaborate. One of the show's long-running story arcs concern Fielder and his social awkwardness. Throughout episodes, his confidence is eroded as his ideas fail. In the show's first season, Fielder is unaware people do not enjoy his company. The character is based in Fielder's real-life, and his own struggles with social anxiety; he has noted that he did not want the character to "feel like a comedy character" but one that delivers the "most authentic moments from myself."

The show's central theme is "people and moments between people," designed to "highlight moments of sincere emotion," which include unpredictable reactions.

I would argue that this one of, if not the best, comedy TV shows ever created. The season three finale aired last night and it absolutely blew my mind. Not to mention, Comedy Central announced the other day that a fourth season of the series has been green lit. Does anyone else on 6SW watch Nathan for You?

Here are a few memorable clips from past episodes:

What?
Definitely one of the funniest shows on tv right now in my opinion. Been watching it since the first episode, which I actually only watched because the remote was out of arms length. 10/10

I've also been watching since episode one. Did you see the season finale last night? Some next level shit. Maybe the best episode of the series thus far.

Nathan came through Boston a few months back, so I managed to catch him perform live. In case you were wondering, he is just as amazing in person as he is on TV. I honestly can't think of a comedian who is killing it more than Nathan right now.

I've heard of the show. I know he was behind the "Dumb Starbucks" thing. There's a clip on Tumblr that sparked my interest, where he gets the lawyer to sign a form saying that the lawyer would also pay costs and damages if Starbucks sued them, which he did not actually agree too, just signed it for the show. That bit was hilarious.

Then there's another clip floating around on Tumblr, of him building a little dome play thing, where you can put a child in it to play and seal them up and they wont be able to hear anything that's happening on the outside. So he had pornstars have an orgy right next to it.

If it's as great as you guys are saying it is, I'll have to check out the show. I'd imagine it's on Hulu?

I saw the first season a little while back when a cousin recommended it to me. I can remember liking it for the most part, but I haven't gotten around to watching more than that yet. That whole Blaine-esque exposing himself to children stunt would probably rate among the funniest things I've seen in recent years.
