STAY HYPED!!!

3 big virtual reality consoles are suppose to hit the market later this year, and a lot of people are expecting this to be the "year of virtual reality". We will see the Occulus Rift hit the market at a price of $600, plus you have to purchase a computer with strong enough specs to play. The HTC Vive will also be hitting the market at a price of $800, and, again, you will need a computer with high enough specs to play. Then Playstation will be releasing their own VR headset. A price hasn't been officially announced yet, but it is expected to be about $300 to $400. It works with the PS4, so no additional hardware is required (unless you don't already have a PS4) Am i the only one that isn't expecting Virtual Reality to take off on the mainstream level? just don't see the same craze happening as when motion controls hit the scene. The entry price for all three are close to $1000, and that doesn't include games. Plus, you have to wear that VR device on your face. Most people don't even like 3D glasses, so how many are going to want to wear a heavy face goggle mask? And who would shrare that with other people? Maybe i am wrong and VR gaming is about to explode, but I honestly don't see that happening. What is your opinion of VR gaming? Are you planning to purchase any of the above systems? |

I'd like to try them of course, but until we start using technology that you'd only see on TV, VR gaming won't catch on. |
