How terribly sad. I imagine Paige will still probably appear alongside Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a managerial role, but the fact that we likely won't ever see her wrestle again is such a bummer. Edited by Kame, Jan 12 2018, 10:27 PM.

It's a young age for a career to end, at least she has plenty of options working with WWE though. Are WWE more strict with these sorts of injuries than say other indy promotions? It's just this line, "medically disqualified from wrestling for WWE" that had me wondering. I'm sure if WWE isn't clearing you though it's probably wise to heed their advice. |

I'm pretty sure Jerry Lawler isn't cleared to wrestling in the WWE because of his heart attack yet still wrestles independently. That's the only example I can think of right off hand. But, he has a unique contract with the WWE so I'm not sure how full time active wrestlers could fair trying that. |

Yeah, I assume it would be more difficult for them to swing a deal like that. Do we know if Lawler is one of those 'legends' contracts, it would be interesting to know whether all the guys on those contracts can appear on indy shows or only some of them... I may go do some digging on google... |

From what I understand, Lawler always had a unique contract. He started out being sign to announce but it also allowed him to wrestle as much or as little as he wanted to in and out of the WWE. Now, I'm assuming that he isn't cleared medically by WWE so he only wrestles outside the WWE and they aren't responsible for anything that happens to him when doing so. |

BURN IT DOOOWWNNNNNNNN!

She's not taking the news well if the rumors are to be believed. Hopefully she'll come to peace with retirement if she truly can't wrestle anymore. |
