Enzo Amore has been suspended by WWE due to a police investigation regarding an allegation of rape against him. Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed that Amore is suspended while police in Phoenix are investigating based on a report that was filed by the alleged victim. The incident allegedly took place in October of last year.

The woman, who didn’t want to be named, posted to Twitter and shared details of the alleged assault.

The post reads, “OKAY..it’s been long enough & I have been so so scared to share this. I was raped in mid October by the WWE Enzo Amore (also known as Eric Arden) & Tyler Grosso & TOOPOOR let it happen as accomplices. I was in a mental hospital for 45 days after it. They ARE NOT good people.”

Her statement continued (per PWS), “…The original question TOOPOOR asked me was if I would suck Enzo’s dick. I said possibly but if I wasn’t down she said we could all just hang out. Then they got me way fucked up & they left knowing what was about to happen. When Enzo the WWE guy stared coming on to me I was passed out on the couch. I said “I want to get to know you first before doing anything.” He replied, “Bitch I have 1million followers on instagram…you should be begging for this dick.” & then he restrained me & it happened. I never would be this dramatic about something like this but I want you all to know that I would’ve left if I could. I was in psychosis- I had no idea what was going on. I remember bits &pieces & I have constant flashbacks..My mental issues have been the worst ever & i suffer from major PTSD from it.”

According to the site, most of the investigation is complete and police are waiting on lab results. The incident allegedly took place on October 19th in the early morning. Amore’s Instagram account notes that he was in Phoenix on October 18th and was back in Los Angeles on the night of the 19th.

A rep for WWE said, “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”
Hope this isn't true, as I consider myself to be a fan of Enzo's. Wonder if they'll strip him of the CW Title tonight on Raw.

WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore).

Yikes, not even a "we wish him well in his future endeavors" message. This really does not bode well for him.

Well damn.

Even if he's innocent, that's something he would definitely have to let WWE know. Probably kept quiet because I can't see them pushing him to this extent if they knew.

Enzo Amore went from suspended to released in less than 24 hours, despite not being arrested or convicted of a crime. Here’s what we know about WWE‘s reasoning.

Fightful.com’s Sean Ross Sapp reported this afternoon that Amore was aware of the investigation, but failed to inform anyone in WWE about it. That means the company first learned about the alleged incident yesterday when word began to spread.

Multiple sources confirm Enzo not telling WWE about the investigation was a big factor in their decision to fire the Cruiserweight Champion, especially since he was apparently on thin ice due to past behavior behind the scenes.

This would seem to indicate that Enzo’s firing was due to a violation of the morals clause in his WWE contract and not because of their zero tolerance policy regarding sexual assault.

In regards to the moral’s clause, the company’s corporate website states: “WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE. Section 9.13(a) of the WWE booking contract, commonly known as the “morals clause”, provides WWE with broad discretion and authority to act under such circumstances.”
Yeah, fuck this guy.

Enzo Amore — now going by the name Real1 — is speaking out against the girl who accused him of rape in the video for his debut rap song called “Phoenix.”

The video begins with a wrestling fan arguing with his mom from the basement during the “25th anniversary of sports entertainment.” He then gets a breaking news alert and rushes to his computer — obviously in reference to Enzo being sent home from WWE before Raw 25.

The track begins at this point and Enzo exclaims, “Listen up you sloppy jalopy son of a bitch! Sitting on your f*cking couch, with your f*cking phone in your hand, doing your arm chair detective work … thinking you know what the fuck is going on.”

Additional noteworthy lyrics include:

“They cry tears of joy at my funeral. Still I rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Middle finger to the sky grippin’ my …. consensual penis. Lyin’ ass hoe out in Phoenix. When I say that shit I mean it. F*ck you marks for hatin’. This for all my fans waitin’. Entertainment’s hottest free agent. Bitch I’m reincarnated.”

“The only thing that I put in that puddin was proof.”

“Naw I ain’t Bill Cosby, bitch.”

“Bitch them wages gettin’ garnished for my image that you tarnished.”

In the video, Amore is wearing the same shirt he was reportedly wearing backstage at Raw’s 25th anniversary show before being sent home which says “today is the best day of my life.”
I could see people being into this. Not my thing, though.

The odds are that he is not guilty of the accusations made against him.

In Australia just 3% of reported rapes result in a conviction by a court. Otherwise stated, 97% of people accused of rape are later found not guilty after a court of law undertakes examination of the totality of facts. Those figures probably aren't representative of the situation in the USA, but I hazard a guess that the situation in the homeland isn't too dissimilar to the situation in Australia.

I don't know what the deal is in Australia, but in America, it's generally frowned down upon if you do not side with the victim of alleged sexual assault.

Not to mention, who says the court of law doesn't let people off the hook who shouldn't be because there's simply a lack of evidence of a sexual assault occurring?

To throw another statstic back at you -- according to RAINN, on average, there are 321,500 victims of rape and sexual assault each year in the United States. The vast majority of these sexual assaults go unreported for a variety of different reasons.

This comes back to the central point of disagreement that we all had about Cybrus's legal issue - you (and others, and society in general) seem to think that when someone is accused of a crime, then their guilt is a foregone conclusion. "Trial be damned - I already know they're guilty," you say. Of course, if that were the case, then there would be no point of a trial, and the court would be nothing more than a kangaroo court.

Enzo hasn't yet been convicted of any offense. So therefore he is innocent until some arbiter of fact carefully looks at the circumstances and the evidence and finds that all of the signs point to him being guilty, beyond any reasonable doubt.

Your sentence is therefore correct, it is generally frowned upon if you don't side with the victim. But right now there is no victim of any crime, as such - there's an alleged victim and an alleged perpetrator. And personally, given that I haven't looked at the evidence, nor interviewed any witnesses, I'm reluctant to take sides.

You're free to assume guilt based on assumptions, prejudice and hearsay though. :)

What does this even mean? If there's no evidence that a crime took place, then how can anyone come to the conclusion that a crime took place? Who says they shouldn't have been let off the hook? How do you come to such a conclusion, if not according to the evidence?

Yes, there are a lot of unreported sexual assaults. No, that doesn't mean that you should view Enzo with any prejudice, unless you know about some specific thing that is convincing.

All this aside, the music video or song doesn't do it for me.
