So today in English class, I had a test on some novel we had just finished reading.

It was composed of:

20 Multiple Choice Questions
4 Short Response Questions
6 Fill-in-the-Blanks abotu Literary Device in Novel
1 Multi-paragraph essay on conflicts

The test was pretty long and I found myself giving some pretty crappy short repsonses to budget my time. I think I may have gotten at most, 2 of the short responses correct.

I'm not complaining about the test, but I think she (the teacher) should have worked the tests slowly so they got longer each time rather than throwing at us some short test then throwing out a long test that I cannot complete in 41 minutes. She naturally gave us this talk about how we are her Pre-AP class and that we'd have to do with it and surely handle it. @_@

Also, how are tutors? I think I may ask my mom to hire one to help me with science, depending on how my prctical goes.

That's... not long. That's pretty standard length for a test on a novel.

Thing is, that was our first test like that. She didn't really give us warning, unless you count the day before telling us there would be an essay, when even then it was that gave us the conception that it was an essay test only. I still think she should've made her tests increasingly longer to work up to something like this. That's waht my History teacher said she was doing. I am not that old you know, so that was my near first experience.

Hate to say it, but you'd better get used to it =P

How long were the Short Answers? At least your teacher doesn't make you write THREE essays in 55 minutes.

That's only long if the short answers were substantial. Anyway, I've had to do some pretty ridiculous time stuff. I remember a test with 17 short answer and an essay, and I had to think about everything. 9 minute essay for the win!

Wow I have 5 tests in the next 2 days, 4 of which are at least half short answer. They're unit exams too, not quizzes

I'm not really dreading midterms, but I've never had a highschool midterm before. On the bright side, we only have to go to school a couple of hours a day or not at all.

They had to devote an entire week to just tests ._. They couldn't have it spread out just like any other test so that you might actually have a chance to cram in between them, but now by the last test you're completely exhausted and you probably haven't studied nearly as much than you did at the beginning of the week.

The world hates procrastinators :(

Posting to say that my science grade went up.

I was close to a C+ but some of my recent tests/labs went up.

I got a 105 on the practical exam and 98 on the writeen portion. The 68 still hurts my grade though, especially since it was a test.
