Quick question, has TBNB and/or HP sent in preference lists? Cause I don't want to be waiting 23 hours for just one pick.

I like the 30 hours for 5 rounds but I wouldn't want to wait 30 hours for one pick to be taken so I think there'd still need to be a limit on how long can be taken for any one pick.
Yeah, can just as easily have a time limit for 1 pick at 12 or 16 hours or whatever within that.
As for just finishing the draft through preference list, I really don't see the rush, if everyone sent in a preference list the draft would just finish straight away. A good steady pace with the draft finishing in 3 or 4 weeks sounds pretty good to me.

Nope.
In actual fact I've never received a preference list from either.

Should make them compulsory.

TBNB skipped, HP you're up.
TBNB, please send me a preference when you come back on, as you are continually holding the draft up.

His position should be re considered. The amount of times he has held the draft up is becoming a joke.

Proud and Harbrow both very good selections. Hopefully a few more people can get on and we'll get on a real roll. Stoney, you're up mate!

Hey all. With our top 22's all selected I though it'd be interesting to hear ppls thoughts on how each others teams are going. I'll kick it off for div 1.
Fire Breathing Falcons - Cox at ruck is the key. If he can keep scoring 20 or so more than the next best ruckman then this team will be hard to beat. Waite as a Key defender is also another great pickup and the midfield looks good too. Tough team.
South East Cougars - Any side with Dal Santo, Mitchell and Ablett in the midfield is going to score well. Williams at CHB is a suprise but if he can live up to his potential then he could be a very good pick up. Fevola will need to fire I think if this team is gonna win and going on his 08 form he will.
St Johns Eagles - This club has a playing group with a good mix of ages which I think will keep it in the top flight for quite a few years when other original div 1 teams will be slipping backwards. There are a few 'streky' players in the side but if they can all score at their maximum then watch out!
Sydney Sharks - This is a good allround team that could do anything. With only 2 100+ players it looks a bit light on initially but there are about 6 that could take that step up next year. Brown is the key i think. Would have been top 3 last year so if he can get back to that form, SS has got him at a bargain price.
The David Brent Experience FC - My team will go ok hopefully next season. Tried to get as many quality youngsters as i could into the side which I think i succeeded in. Drum was the shock but I think he'll get better and his flexibility is invaluable.
The Sproose Mooses - A bit on the older side, this team's window is now and the players in this squad are more than capable of delivering. On a rough count there are at least 11 players capable of scoring 100 next season imo so this side is a real contender.
Street Kings - Has had a few coaches already so JCK hasn't had a huge influence yet. You'd expect Lucas and McIntosh to score better next season and Lewis can be very good. Scarlett at CHB may be a problem as he doesn't score very highly but he should get 22 games barring injury. A bit of an older list this team needs to strike now!
Townsville Toros - Another good team. Plenty of high scorers. Brown at FB doesn't score highly yet but he could be an inspired slection if he is freed up. A powerhouse midfield full of players who tend to fly under the radar will mean that this team should be up there in finals footy. The forwards go alright as well.

Here's my thoguhts on how each team looks thus far..
FBF - As DTM stated, Cox in the ruck is the key. Will give them a massive advantage, add to that having the likes of Black and Cooney in the middle and the midfield is strong. A few question marks on a few players in there 22 however such as Bradshaw, Lockyer and Koschitzke and if these guys get injured, the team may struggle for a top 4 position.
South East Cougars - Wont rate my own team lol
St Johns Eagles - One of the better teams IMO. Solid on every line, good consistency throughout the entire team without having too many major superstars. Having the likes of Selwood and Gibbs will mean that they will probably be even strounger in 2010, but still i think will be right up there come finals time.
Sydney Sharks - Cant see this team doing much in all honesty. As far as scring in this game goes I believe they just have too many week links with a severe lack of players that are going to score big week in week out. May be one of the teams lookg at being demoted come seasons end.
TDBEFC - Alot of good young talent in this team also, another preety consistent team on every line which is good in this game. A question mark about there depth I believe with a somewhat weak interchange. However a talented team that should be up there in the top 3.
The Sproose Mooses - Lance Franklin is the obvious key to this team in what is a talented forward line, yet also a rather oldish forward line. The midfield looks strong with the likes of Kirk, Cross and Goodes and backline is solid. As stated by DTM, this teams window is now, they should be right up there but if they fail this season, I wouldnt expect to see them too high in the coming seasons.
Street Kings - Hard team to read. They certainly have some fire power with the lieks of Bartel and Harvey but there are also alot of weak links in this team such as Mcleod getting older, Scarlett and Grover both not being very high scorers in the backline and the risk of Lucas. Cant see them coming close but they may surprise me.
Townsville Toros - The strongest team imo. A very strong forward line mixed with overall talent on every line. Will be interesting to see how well this midfield scores as they dont quite have the big names they some others do.
My Ladder (excluding my own team)
1. Townsville Toros 2. St Johns 3. The Sproose Mooses (Couldnt separate 3rd and 4th) 4. TDBEFC 5. FBF 6. Street Kings 7. Sydney Sharks

No worries mate, have a good one and make sure you come back in one piece!
Also if any other of you guys are going away soon, make sure you get a preference list to myself or one of the other admin, or else you WILL be skipped and will be scraping the bottom of the barrell for players.

Bit tougher when some teams don't have a best 22 and others will add a stack of young guns from the draft.
