OK all rookie picks to be taken are now listed in the rookie draft thread.
Because the all-in draft ends up giving 8 teams an extra player, the rookie draft will grant those other 8 teams an extra player, which will occur in the last 8 picks of the draft.
SWR Slappers and Geelong Lightning will go into the 09 season with an extra player than all other teams, but thats just the way it panned out.
Thanks guys.

Shouldn't they be ND picks instead of Rookie draft picks?

Why not just leave a handful of players on a free agents list to ensure absolute fairness with list numbers rather than giving some teams an (albeit) minor advantage for no real reason?
Not much of an issue, but a fair games a good game.

Nah I don't think we need to do that. Free Agents list wouldn't work.

Why should they be ND picks?
Because people are able to take ND picks in the all-in draft instead of rookie picks.
If rookies had been available I would have selected at least one of them by now

I don't understand what you're saying, so it's highly likely you've misinterpreted what I said.
What do you think I've meant?

It is only going to be two clubs advantaged by this and that advantage is practically nothing seeing as they will only have the 2 last players selected as extra. It just doesn't seem to me to be a good enough reason to add a free agents list especially as only 2 players will be on it.

Because how do you decide who can pick up players and who can't?
Different clubs in the AFL have different list sizes.
With only two clubs having the last 2 players from the entire pool isn't going to hurt.
Free Agent list doesn't have a place in footy, and therefore IMO, shouldn't have a place in this game.

One important thing I forgot to mention, those 8 clubs that have one less player on their senior list may elevate a rookie for the 09 season.

um yeah, I'm confused
Surely there must be enough AFL senior listed players to fill all senior lists in this game. It's seeming like now there will be 8 AFLPL teams with rookies on their senior lists and I don't understand why if there are enough senior players available through the ND.
I thought you wanted rookies to only be available as rookies?

Those are the 8 teams that receive an extra rookie pick, yes.

Not really what I meant by a free agents list, probably should have explained it better.
All I mean is a list of leftover players who just sit there without a club and are then be added to the draft pool (PSD?) the next season.
Pretty much what happens in the other games I play to ensure consistent list sizes for all, but again not too fussed by it but worth bringing up.

It's just because not all clubs will have equal senior squads due to real afl teams not having equal squads so this is the easiest way to fix this problem although 1 or 2 clubs will still end up with an extra player.
