(AAP) The Newcastle Fury, AFLPL's newest expansion team into the Rugby League heartland, has today revealed their logo, along with two new major sponsors - BHP Billiton & Triple J.
"We're happy to announce BHP Billiton as our major sponsor for 2011", says head coach Smitty at a Press Conference at Fury Park this afternoon. "The BHP name has long been associated with our lovely city, and we hope that this new deal helps us kickstart the most revered name in the League".
Triple J, an Australia-wide radio station appealing to the 16-25 year old demographic, was announced as a 2nd major sponsor later in the day. "This was a decision brought on by our younger players, who believe that Triple J is a symbol of the nation's youth and that the partnership would benefit Fury supporters countrywide.
The Fury boasts a wide selection of household names, and hopes to become the #1 team among Australia's footy-mad youth.

I like the logo smitty. One big complaint however. . . As a tax payer I'm not too keen on the idea of the government funded triple J financially supporting an opponents club. It's outrageous to think that my hard earned dollars are going towards your players wages.
