Want a fancy pants avatar next to your name? That's simple! Go to the top right corner of the page: Preferences>Update Avatar You may use one of the default avatars we have provided (gods/goddess, iconics or NPCS) or you may upload your own file or direct link to a file (hosted on your own server or through a hosting service like photbucket, imgur or imageshack. To use a default avatar, click on one of the diamonds and then click on the avatar you want and that's it! If you are uploading your own avatar, the file must be less than 35K and be sized no larger than 150x200 pixels and end with a .jpg, .png or .gif extension. If your file size is larger than 35K, you can have upload it to a third party site (listed above) and use the direct link URL they provide. You must use the direct link in order for the avatar to display correctly. The image should be no larger than 150x200 pixels even if uploaded to a third party site. The best way to tell if you have the correct link type selected is by looking at the link itself. The link should end in a .jpg, .gif or .png file type. DO NOT direct link an image from the website you found it on or from google. This steals the sites bandwidth and is frowned upon. If you need help with your avatar or need it resized, please upload it to imgur and post the image in this thread using the "BBCode" link and we will update it for you. See the screen shot below for what a direct link looks like (first red box) and what a BBCode looks like (second red box). |
