| Welcome to A Worlde Apart. We hope you enjoy your visit. By logging in you enter a Sci-Fi themed collaborative writing game in which you are invited to create a character (or 2) and exercise your imagination in conjunction with other writers to create a series of stories based upon a background that I (Dagiris) have started (Much inspired by www.worldearcane.com which is currently inactive) and that you as players and writers will expand upon and adapt over time. The setting is a pocket universe entirely separate from our own, it exists in a Null Space where galaxies do not exist, only isolated star systems. Each star system is surrounded by a sphere which gives the sentient population within the illusion that they are in a "normal" area of space, their telescopes and sensors will see stars and galaxies beyond the confines of their own star system, but until they unlock the truth, then any attempt to travel beyond their star system will result getting lost in the Null Space, forever unable to to return. The small shuttle from the Wolvaris docked and offloaded its passengers, a few crew on shore leave and approximately twenty teenagers and their responsible adults on a field trip to Kentaru. Aryn Fehran marshalled her charges towards another corridor herded along by Salise and Mr Jarshen the new biology teacher. "We have an hour lay over here until we get the transport to Kentaru.....I suggest you find a seat and look at your worksheets and familiarise yourselves with the layout of the ruins." She said over the excited babble. The group broke up until its smaller peer groups and as usual Linny was sat with Talan and she was pointing out different things on the worksheet. Talan, who had been quite lively on the Wolvaris now seemed a little more quiet and subdued, almost distracted she might say and it was when he had caught sight of the new biology teacher. Talaris Jarshen had not started at the school yet and Aryn thought it might the the perfect opportunity to introduce him to school life and the kids he would be teaching. Talan's eyes kept wandering to look at the elf as he stood apart talking with Salise, it was almost in confused recognition, but how could the boy know him, he had only just transferred to the Wolvaris. She wandered over to join the two men and smiled. "This should be an interesting trip....Kentaru became a very progressive township under the Wolvian King and I think the kids will find it very interesting." She gave a smile. "It is by the sea to so there might be some time for leisure pursuits in their free time....Tell me Talaris have you ever been to Kentaru before?" She asked the Golden Elf. The tall handsome elf shook his head. "No...not personally Ms Fehran, though my family did have a distant connection to the town in an ancestor." He said finally after a long pause. The dark haired Salise smiled, in this form he had not been to Kentaru....in his natural form as Sesarazan the Golden Dragon he had flown over it once or twice. "Me neither." He said softly. "It will be very interesting for us all I think!" |
