Vicis de Bellum
It Is a Time of War

===================================================================

There is a world of equines that exists under the false belief that their planet will function through an unending peace for all time. Long ago when the land was newly formed, and the oceans ranged as far as the eye could see, evil stirred. On the continent of Eviden, there were twins born unto a stallion by the name of Grytik. He named his two sons Pilot and Genesis. Many years passed quickly, and Grytik had passed away and become one with the earth. The time had come to choose which of the two wayward sons would hold ultimate power over Eviden. Neither Pilot nor Genesis refused their birth right, and, in so doing, beginning the war. With whole herds agreeing with both sides of the arguments, trying to sway either party was useless.

The Rewdin War has begun, and you must choose your alliance. Will you follow the Shadow teachings under Genesis? Or will you seek out the Ray of light, Pilot? You can choose neither and become a Neutral or a Rogue, but choose carefully...your choice may decide the end of the bitter feuding.

At the present moment, there is a faint glimmer of peace. The Rays have joined together to drive the Shadows from Bainbridge, and they have succeeded. They have won the battle, but not the war. For thousands of years before this time, Aeneas was free from dispute and disagreement. Much of the globe was strewn with plentiful grasslands and forests. It was perfect and flawless, but that time would soon come to pass.

This world is home to undiluted species of equine, wolves and other creatures which developed easily and freely of any disaster or tragedy. These Aenean equines and wolves have been granted a gift from the gods - speech. At one time, Aeneas consisted of a single landmass called Eviden. Around the year 765 A.T. (Aenean Timing), an act which would come to be known as the Rewdin War occurred. A dispute between two power-holding brothers, Pilot and Genesis, threw Eviden into an agitated state, dividing the continent into four new lands--Cahtice, Bainbridge, Luneta, and Safricti. Lives were lost, homes destroyed, herds and packs divided, and beliefs were questioned. The battle rocked the planet to its very core.

Those living on the alliance-wise divided continent came to be savagely protective over their lands, particularly those living in Cahtice. With their continent being plundered upon by Rogues, who refused to pledge their allegiance to either, they turned their loyalty under Genesis's power. The Shadow and Ray Alliances were formed; Shadows following Genesis, and Rays following Pilot. Simple disagreements turned into all-out wars. Eventually a third alliance developed--the Neutrals.

Aeneas had become an earthly world ravaged by tragedy, a time period which would come to be known as Vicis de Bellum--"The Time of War."
