Has Problems Giving A Shit

Bullshit you can't beat up your own feelings. Ever heard of Disgaea?

@Eggman

Yes, I know it was a joke. I'm just being an ass for the sake of comedy.

Yes I am. I said I would, and I hate going back on my word. IANCE, you pustulating whoreson, I am going to find you when this is over. They will make a torture porn movie about your death, and they will have to tone it down to maintain suspension of disbelief.

Disgaea 3 right? Inside Mao, that was fun. Oh look, another innuendo.

As for Eggman yeah, sorry, but there shall be no lemons. If you want that though there are more than enough Negi fanfictions on here to read. Personally I can't see Kotaro handling sex at all, at his age of course, he isn't like Negi.

In many ways he's the most immature member of the group and still caught in a paradox of boyish aversion to girls but wanting a special relationship with some of them at the same time. Personally Im just amazed he survived to be ten years old I mean Negi had a whole bunch of people raising him and Fate also had a group of people helping him but, as far as we know, Kotaro has literally never had a single bond in his life.

If I ever get around to doing my idea with an older Mei and Kotaro you will see lemons, but that's only if I ever get to it. Sorry :)

Hmm...well I haven't quite finished yet, even though I really should have, but meanwhile here are some silly little things I did on a whim which I'll probably include at the end.

Quote:

Pet:

“Oh, Mei-chan,” Nutmeg sighed, her tone somewhere between pity and disappointment.

“What?” One eyebrow was raised quizzically as Mei looked up towards her friend.

The two were currently seated in the kitchen area of Mei’s new apartment. Mei herself knelt on the floor whilst Nutmeg sat on a chair at the kitchen counter, looking down at her.

“What do you mean what? You got a pet,” Nutmeg pointed a finger accusingly at the animal currently enjoying Mei’s hand on its belly.

“So? What’s weird about that?”

“It’s a puppy!”

“I don’t know what you mean by that,” Mei lied through her teeth as she increased the intensity of her strokes.

I knew I should never have told her about him. Mei thought to herself making a mental note to never have too much to drink around her comrades again. Even if it was a pretty fun Karaoke party.

“Look as your friend I just want what’s best for you and this seems…distinctly not best for you,” Nutmeg was desperately trying not to look where Mei’s hand was scratching as unwanted images entered her mind.

She really didn’t want to contemplate what bathing the animal was going to be like.

“I’m eighteen now! I can get a pet if I want,” Mei responded, a little heatedly; “You’re not my mom,”

“It’s not about you getting a pet, it’s about the fact that you got a puppy,”

“So you hate puppies now?”

“You’re doing this on purpose right? I mean seriously that’s the only explanation for how obtuse you’re being. Look you obviously got the dog because of him,”

“No I did not! This was a totally unrelated decision,” Mei stood up now, folding her arms over her chest, as she tried to focus on not blushing her voice growing a bit frantic before she remembered to reign it in.

“Your decision to get a dog as a pet has nothing to do with the fact that you have…”

Mei glared hard enough to make Nutmeg reconsider her words;

“May have or may not have a crush on a half-dog demon boy? You’re seriously telling me that,”

“Yes I am Nutmeg and I’d appreciate it if you didn’t jump to conclusions like you just did. You don’t get to judge me,”

With an actual ‘harrumph’ sound Mei went back to scratching her pet’s belly and cooing at its reactions.

Nutmeg waited a while before, with a casual air, she asked another question;

“What’s his name?”

“Kota-kun,” Mei answered without looking up or, apparently, thinking it over.

Nutmeg waited a bit for the realization to sink in. This happened when Mei temporarily froze and then turned to sheepishly look back at her friend.

“Okay…you can judge me now,” The air around Mei drooped down in sympathy with her causing a visual ‘sadness’ effect.

Swimming Lesson:

“Err…Kotaro-kun, where’s your swimming trunks?” Mei asked fearing she already knew the answer.

“Swimming trunks? I don’t need somethin’ like that ta swim,” the boy responded, seemingly surprised that Mei had bothered to ask, as he finished removing his socks by the edge of the pool.

I was afraid you were going to say something like that, she thought to herself, face palming as she did so, and turned around so as not to see Kotaro continue stripping.

She knew she really only had herself to blame since it had been her request in the first place that he teach her how to swim. At the time it had seemed like an easy excuse to hang out and, to be honest, he didn’t seem to be doing anything during the vacation anyway.

The holidays were upon them and Mahora Campus now stood more abandoned than it did at any other point in the year. Particularly seeing as a whole year of students had just graduated to move on.

Not that the enormous complex was ever very empty but there was, at least, room enough now for a private practise down by the pool.

“Okay I’m ready when you are,”

Mei felt more than a little guilty as she turned around without protest, peeking through the cracks of her fingers as she made a half-hearted attempt to cover her eyes.

Kotaro stood peering back at her curiously with his shorts still on, the rest of his clothes lay casually discard in a pile by the pools edge.

Oh. Well that’s not so bad then. Could have been much worse.

“You acting weird again?” The boy asked smugly, folding his arms as he gave her a cocky grin.

She instantly dropped her arms, feeling a little embarrassed, down to her sides and averted eye contact.

“Never mind that. Are we going to learn to swim or not?”

“Sure are, and I’m glad yer so fired up about it. You got ta want somethin’ before you can get it,” he emphatically clasped the air in front of him as she spoke, determination reflected in his eyes.

“Kotaro-kun it’s just a swimming lesson, don’t get so overdramatic.” She waved a hand dismissively laughing a little at his antics.

The boy, a little disgruntled, dropped the fiery air and moved closer to where she was. This made Mei suddenly far more aware of the fact that she was in a rather tight swimming suit, a school issue one, which was clearly a few sizes too small for her.

This is what I get for blowing off every PE Class involving swimming the whole year. A tiny swimsuit, great.

“So we should begin by getting’ in the water,”

“Wait shouldn’t we first discuss technique-“

If he heard her he should no sign thereof and promptly jumped into the pool sending a spray of water over both his own clothes and Mei.

“Kotaro-kun!” She whined, irritated, as she tried to brush wet hair out of her face. Her hair was hanging longer than usual today because, of course, she had undone the decorations in preparations of the swim.

“If you want to learn how to swim you’re gonna’ have to get wet anyway ya know,”

Insufferable brat.

Mei took a breath to calm herself and adopted her standard polite disposition. In this situation he was the teacher. She just had to humour him, surely he knew best about this?

Right get in, just get in, and just jump right on in there. It’s just a little water, nothing much, I should even be able to stand on the shallow side so there’s nothing to be scared of. Nothing to be scared of at all, it’s just water. Water never hurt anyone, right?

She made it to the edge of the pool, her eyes remaining focused on her toes the whole time, until they noticed her own reflection in the pool and looked up. Two perfect replica’s stared back at her from out of her reflection and held her gaze. The water stilled ominously, as if purposefully, so that Mei could see a mirror like copy of herself.
No way, no way, no way! I can’t swim, what am I doing? This is so stupid!

“I can’t…I mean…can’t we do this another way?”

Kotaro cocked his head to the side.

“You do want to learn how to swim right?”

The boy paddled till he was at the edge with her, looking up at her, a sympathetic expression on his face.

Not really.

“Kind of…”

“Here then, let me help you,”

“Thanks-“

Before she could finish he gripped one of her hands and pulled. In a moment Mei felt herself going from rooted to the spot to totally rootless. There was a brief moment in the air where things weren’t so bad before her eyes made contact with her reflection once more and she crashed right through it into the water.

Panic immediately set in to her body and all four of her limbs thrashed about. Cold, wet and terrifying was all around her. Her head and vision dipped below and above in rapid succession even as she squirmed about. She could feel someone trying to grip her body from behind and every now and then, when her ears were above the water, she could hear Kotaro say something.

“It’s…okay, Nee-chan-“

The noise of bubbles temporarily drowned out anything else;

“I got ya, yer not drownin’, just relax,”

Feeling the tiny body behind her flex Mei felt her whole body lifted out of the water and took a huge gulp of air, fearing she might go under again, only to find herself remaining in place.

“There, see? Yer fine…I got ya,”

Mei whirred her head around to look at Kotaro who was currently holding her bridal style in such a way that she was mostly above the water.

“You…you…idiot!”

Mei gave a weak punch to his shoulder, her teeth grit, as the dog boy suddenly looked surprised.

“Idiot…idiot…idiot…you do not teach someone like that,” Mei gave a few more jabs to his shoulder but, feeling drained already, and with her heart’s pounding slowly receding she soon stopped.

“What were you thinking?”

“I-I’m sorry…I though ya needed a push…I, er, I just…I didn’t mean anything bad, promise,” the boy babbled, earnestly worried, as he quickly paddled back over to the edge of the pool and placed Mei down on it.

For a few moments, as she took some time to recompose herself, Mei remained silent save for her breathing. She lay flat out on her back at the edge of the pool, one arm raised to shield her eyes from the light of the sun, as she slowly calmed down.

Kotaro remained standing a little distance away, one arm rubbing his shoulder nervously, as he waited for her to speak.

Eventually Mei raised herself into a sitting position, folding her legs so that they didn’t dangle into the water, and looked aside at Kotaro.

“Kotaro-kun…I can’t swim, you know that right?”

“I know that! That’s why we’re here,” his voice was strangely anxious.

“Yeah but, Kotaro-kun, think about it. You don’t just pull a person who can’t swim into the water unannounced like that. I’m terrified of water you know? I mean I’ve almost drowned before. Surely you can understand that you don’t just throw someone into the deep end, metaphorically or literally, I mean how did you learn to…”

Mei slowly petered off noticing how a mixture of confusion and worry seemed to cross Kotaro’s face as she spoke. Like he was aware he did something wrong but wasn’t sure what it was.

There’s really no reason to follow this line of inquiry any further is there? I already know where this would head, don’t I?

Mei gave a deep and heavy sigh. Finally, after some time of inaction, she patted the space next to her to invite Kotaro to sit down. Haltingly the boy did so, his eyes still focused on her.

“I, er, I am sorry. I really didn’t mean to scare ya nee-chan,”

“I know you didn’t Kotaro-kun, I know,” then, feeling somewhat emboldened, she put a hand on top of the little boy’s head and felt his ears flatten.

“Kotaro-kun do ever think, maybe, that just because people grew up a certain way doesn’t necessarily mean it’s right? Like maybe mistakes were made but they don’t know it because they never got to see what it should have been like?”

The blank look he returned her was all the answer Mei needed and she gave a somewhat miserable chuckle.

“Never mind. Just me being weird again,”

Window Shopping:

“What about this one!” Kotaro waved his hands dramatically before one of the shop’s display windows; packed with shoes and the other doo-dads which attracted the mass consumers.

Mei looked up from her cell phone and an engaging game of Angry Birds.

“…Kotaro-kun you do know what ‘Window Shopping’ means right?”

“We’re shopping for windows, duh,” the boy responded dryly, both hands going into his pockets, and a small smirk forming.

A comedic sort of silence flitted between the two.

“I was being sarcastic,” Kotaro said, looking aside.

“I know, I just wanted to see you crack first,” she pocketed the phone and walked up to him, smirking a bit herself now.

“Well can we get this done now already? I’m dyin’ of boredom over here,”

“Kotaro-kun you asked me to come with you, remember? All you’ve done since we got here is run around making lame one-liners about the products on sale,”

“Hey!” Kotaro protested.

“Alright, I’ll admit, for a ten-year old quite a few of them were really witty,” Mei smiled , holding her hands in front of herself apologetically, as she giggled a bit at the boy’s childish concern.

Kotaro gave a ‘harrumph’ and folded his arms.

The two began to move away from the entrance and deeper into the store, sparing cursory glances at their surroundings.

“You’re a lot more talkative than normal,” Kotaro eventually commented as he inspected a pair of socks by pulling them onto his hands.

“What do you mean?” Mei asked, her voice a little high-pitched, as a familiar nervousness suddenly set in.

Oh goodness, I haven’t been weird again have I?

“You’ve been, you know, speakin’ you’re mind a lot more and stuff,” Kotaro’s attention remained rooted to the socks he was now wearing as makeshift gloves as he spoke. Mei, for her part, was so frantically searching through her mind for what he the meaning of his words were that she didn’t even bother to stop his silly antics.

“I didn’t mean too, I mean, if I did anything weird I’m really, really sorry and-“

“Relax nee-chan, I’m not telling you I don’t like it, come on. I think it’s good, you oughta loosen up more.

You think its…good?

She raised her hand to her mouth, pretending to cough as an excuse, hiding the small blush forming on her face as she did so.

“Umm, thanks,”

“Yeah you seriously need to lighten up, I mean look at your senpai, she’s a freakin’ stripper on the side-“

“She is not a stripper!” Mei declared emphatically, feeling embarrassed as more than a few passing customers turned their attention to her.

“I mean, she’s not, and you shouldn’t say she is, ergh, come one,”

Mei grabbed his hand, intending to lead him away, then realized he was still wearing the socks on both hands. With a groan she quickly helped him put them back and then resumed leading him away from all the prying eyes.

Eventually, once they were far enough, and she’d cooled down a bit, she turned to him and came face to face with a smug sort of grin.

“What are you grinning at?”

“You, it’s always funny when you stop acting all polite and perfect,”

“Ugh, Kotaro-kun, you can be really vexing you know that?”

“Actually I got no idea what vexing means,”

Mei resisted the urge to fall down on the spot.

Eventually the two settled back into a rhythm of drifting through clothing stores looking fruitlessly for products. During one such perusal a question suddenly dawned on Mei;

“Kotaro-kun how do you know about strippers?”

“Well…when he I was four years old I was in a tough spot. My attempt at being one of those police sniffer dogs hadn’t ended well and I needed to lay low for a while. Then one night out on the street these women offered to take me in, little did I know they were-“

“You’re messing with me aren’t you?” It was a rhetorical question.

“What gave it away?” The boy asked drolly.

“You know I would like to actually know a bit about your life someday,”

“Why? I’d rather focus on the future, especially since I got a problem that needs solving right now,”

Mei’s ears perked at that.

“Maybe I could help,”
