Asakura / Satsuki
While everyone knew that Satsuki was the iron arms and subtle spice behind her operation, people were less apt to assume that she was also the brains. To be fair, Chao covered that base, insofar as retrofitting trolley cars and providing robotic maid service were concerned. But who said intelligence needed to be grandiose?
When a cute, modest, and pleasantly plump Japanese woman developed the tastiest astronaut food anyone had ever eaten, then went on to corner a market that resurgent space programs had blown wide open, she’d shocked the world...or rather, the world except for Kazumi. How couldn’t she have, when the redheaded girl had been the first taste-taster, and a significant source of venture capital to boot?
Kazumi had been - and still is - more than that, but Satsuki prefers to keep such things private.

Asakura / Misora
When Misora gooses her and starts their race ahead of the bell, Kazumi doesn’t mind. There are plenty of pranks worth falling for on purpose.

Asakura / Natsumi
When Natsumi gets her second Pactio card, Kazumi approves wholeheartedly - she is the related Magistrix, after all - and the two of them promptly brainstorm creative uses for her Artifact.
A few months later, breathless and blindsided by a kiss from a giggling imposter Sayo, the reporter girl can’t help but wonder whether her more lurid suggestions might have gone horribly right.

Asakura / Zazie
In Zazie’s world, tattoos were used to denote everything from social status to family ties; as such, learning Venusian “tattoo culture” was exhausting, and Kazumi’s faux paxs made her head spin. It was worth it in the end, though: When the “prodigal princess” presented her human partner to her family, the marks for “chosen lover,” “strong tradition," and “seeking approval” stood out loud and clear, and King Venus smiled down upon them.

Asakura/Sayo
There is a question people often ask couples who are so clearly in love. Well, there are of course many such questions, but only one that we concern ourselves with now.
“How did you meet?”
In most cases, the answer is simple. They grew up together, or were introduced by a mutual friend, or crashed into each other as one fled from glowing-eyed assassins who forced them to hide in an embarrassingly-cramped locker. Sayo and Asakura usually give an answer that they both know to be untrue, because the story of Sayo's accidental menacing and near-exorcism never fails to get a laugh.
The pair agrees that they had already met on the warm summer nights when that story takes place, although then Asakura knew her future partner's name and face only from her cryptic presence on the roll sheet. How could they be considered strangers after so many days spent sitting together in class, enjoying each other's nearness? Nor does Sayo believe that they met the day a bright-eyed girl plopped into the seat next to her, camera at the ready for anything photograph-worthy that might happen the first day of middle school. She remembers, vaguely, as she does everything from when she still breathed, a lovely girl whose height and weight and hair and every feature except something about the quirk of her smile and the twinkle of her eyes were wholly unlike Asakura, and is quietly delighted to have received a second chance with her.
Asakura, for her part, considers the idea patently ridiculous. If she had known Sayo in another life, she would never have wasted her time being born and growing up while her beloved was invisible and alone.

Asakura / Fumika
Kazumi has had more than her share of fantasies involving a bridal carry - some of them have even been chaste - and has been greatly looking forward to the experience. She’d never expected to be the one doing the carrying, of course, but now that it’s happening in real life, she can't complain. Fumika has a very cute sleeping face, you see.

IT KEEPS HAPPENING

Asakura / Akira
The moral tenets of Akira-style conflict management are simple yet far-reaching, and it’s on a trip to the Magic World’s tropics that Kazumi learns just how far-reaching; that grabby god-octopus never knew what hit it, or rather, what suplexed it.
Thank goodness for Pactios, right?

Asakura / Mana
Dear Mana,
Hey. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? At least, that’s what it seems like to me. Much like a certain somebody we know, I’ve been pretty busy lately, so I had to put this off. Or maybe I was too scared to do it and only just now got up the nerve, I’m not sure. Here I am anyway.
I know intimate letters aren’t really my style, but bear with me. This is something I have to do.
I’m writing you today for...well, for a lot of reasons. One of them is that I want to tell you the truth, but before that, I think I need to tell myself a couple truths too, put my ideas and feelings in order, that sort of thing.
...You can see what I meant by how this isn’t my style, right? Like, it’s not even six full paragraphs in and I’ve scrapped the manuscript three times and I still sound like a goon. I’d better get this done quick while it’s only embarrassing, God forbid I end up going full meta on us.
Okay, here goes:
The Truth for Me, Part One: I love you. That’s it. Doesn’t need anything more. We already said the extra stuff in person.
The Truth for Me, Part Two: I’ve never really liked you. For all your good points, you’re still a Scroogey hardass where it counts. What, you thought this would be all puppies and rainbows? Please. Besides, it’s not like you couldn’t put a hole or two in me. That’s what I like about us, you know? We made each other wiser, stronger.
The Truth for Me, Part Three: You’re my partner, but I have to go. I’d really like to sit here for as long as I want to, but I can’t. I just can’t. There’s so much work to be done. My friends need me, even though I can only do so much. This is my decision. So...goodbye for now.
And the Truth for You: You won. You followed through. There’s hundreds of people and a space program out there that owe you, big time. I’m gonna do what I can to pay my share.
...I’ve made another decision, by the way. It’s off the cuff and sounds a little stupid, but I like it: I’m going to write a book about you. I know, I know, I’ve already got Negi’s to worry about, and my rehab’s been going a little slow, so it’ll probably be awhile. Just keep your eyes peeled; you don’t wanna miss it. Consider that a promise.
Goodbye again, Mana. I’ll be seeing you.
Yours,
Kazumi
Slowly, deliberately, Asakura Kazumi lays an envelope across a gravestone, rises up, and walks into the future, her cane tapping out a slow, steady beat.
Asakura / Fuuka will be in soon. Anything else is up to you guys.

Asakura / Fuuka
He wasn’t hers, so when the tiny noble boy called her “Mama” for the first time, Kazumi was utterly floored. Fuuka and her Prince just laughed and said they couldn’t be happier.
Though maybe, they hinted, if there were more to come...

That would explain why the front page has her listed as one of the complete harems.

Yue/EVERYONE
Yue wasn't exactly sure of how it had happened, but she found herself with lovers literally beyond number. Everything in the universe that has, had, or ever would have the capacity for love, loved her. Even if she lived for ten thousand years and spent only a day - no, even just an hour - with each lover, she still could not be with them all.
To have all the love in the universe heaped upon her, was Yue's greatest blessing.
That she could never give all of them the attention they deserved, her ultimate curse.
