Mana actually felt moved enough by that sentiment to only regret not adding one of those additional zeroes.

Ayaka and Makie's bedroom had become a lot creepier since the last time Asuna had been there.
Now it was full of Negi memorabilia, all over the place, everywhere. Someone had been hired to sew Negi bedsheets, which Asuna found to be a terrible crime against decency and good taste. There were Negi posters, one of them on the freaking ceiling. Ayaka had even commissioned a Chibi Negi alarm clock to some soulless clockmaker with no scruples or humanity.
"Time to wake up, Iinchou! Time to wake up, Iinchou!" the clock said as a proudly smiling Ayaka held it for Asuna and Yuuna to see.
"Isn't that much better than a loud, annoying ring?" Ayaka eagerly asked. "And isn't it a nearly perfect copy of Negi-sensei's voice? I hired Satou Rina, the famous voice actress, to record it, and it only took her listening to a few records of Sensei's voice to get the role pat down!"
Asuna gestured all around. "Tsunetsuki-sempai took all of these pics for you, didn't she? Some of them have her signature all over them."
"The privacy-violating angles... the disturbing approximations to the subject... that one where he's changing into his pajamas..." Yuuna shuddered.
"A good contractor never reveals a source who has asked to remain secret," Ayaka said, carefully placing the clock back on their nightdesk, next to a picture of Makie with Homura-mama and Madoka-mama, one of the few respites from Negi apparel in the room. "So, to what do we owe your visit?"
Finally, after a whole hour of being shown the Negi Stalker Shrine, Asuna could explain. Since it was an explanation on things you already know, we'll skip over it and instead show you a slideshow of the female cast in bikinis.
Whoops! Sorry, it's a written medium! Why do we keep forgetting that?
"-- and I really thought we could do without inviting you," Asuna finished, "But hey, as Konoka pointed out, if we didn't, then you'd spend weeks whining over leaving you out, and Maki-chan really deserved knowing from one of her best friends and her Ministra, so here we are..."
"I think," Ayaka said, now far colder than before, "you all should have talked him out of such an altruistic and noble but DANGEROUS AND RISKY OBJECTIVE!" Her eyes became blue accelerated spirals. "Honestly, Asuna-san, Akashi-san, I can't believe none of you thought of the great many dangers our poor young and naive teacher could face in the great unknown of savage, brutal lands like those always found in those fantasy lands and I'm aware you never touch books but you should at least have watched the Tolkien-based movies!"
"What's a Tolkien?" Asuna blinked.
"The Lord of the Rings," pointed out Yuuna, who, while never a genius, was fairly well versed on pop culture.
"Ah!" Asuna placed a hand on her cheek and then dreamily sighed, "Aragorn-sama...!"
As Ayaka fumed and puffed, Makie looked at her and asked, "Really, Iinchou, why so mad about it? Think of it as a chance to go with Negi-kun in a romantic date to exotic places..."
Ayaka instantly perked up.
"The chance of playing heroine next to him," Yuuna added, "Of proving how brave you are for the sake of a heroic deed..."
"And if you get yourself in danger, I guess he can rescue you so you can fulfill your demeaning dreams of being his Distressed Princess waiting for her white knight," Asuna snorted.
Ayaka's eyes grew to gigantic size.
Then, violently, she stood up and aimed a finger high. "I won't leave Negi-sensei alone in his greatest epic yet! I, Yukihiro Ayaka, will pass my baptism of fire as the greatest and closest of his companions! Oh ho ho ho!"
The other three girls exchanged glares.
"You know," Asuna said, "I think we should take advantage of this more often."
"Oh, I know I will!" Yuuna nodded.
To be Continued.

"And you want us to go there? No, scratch that, you want us to go there AFTER allowing you to go there with Negi-kun?!" Misora screamed, which made Setsuna wince, Konoka keep her smile, and Cocone to show absolutely no emotion whatsoever yet. "Are you guys crazy?!"
"Goodness, no," Konoka gently said, absently crossing her legs together, as she sat across the two residents of the room they had been charged with visiting. "I mean, yeah, we want you to give your approval for taking the boy who, after all, is your Magister as well to another world we haven't ever explored before... but we wouldn't dream of asking you to come! After all, we are well aware of how you... don't like that kind of dangerous situations, and it'd be rude from a friend to ask a friend to do things that friend wouldn't want to do. Right?"
Misora's face twitched a little. "That... That's absolutely right, and don't get me wrong, I'm flattered you think of me as a friend now, but--"
"Don't be silly, Misora-chan!" Konoka giggled. "I have *always* thought of you as a friend, and so has Setchan, haven't you, Setchan?"
Her bodyguard nodded quickly. "Of course, Ojou-sama, but even so, I think what she's trying to say is--"
Konoka rolled her eyes up. "Again with that 'Ojou-sama'! Setchan, you're rather grown-up to have imaginary friends anymore, don't you think?"
"Imaginary friends?" asked Misora.
"Naturally," Konoka nodded. "In this room, there's only the four of you, and she calls me 'Kono-chan', and you 'Kasuga-san' and 'Cocone-san', so any 'Ojou-sama' she addresses too MUST be an imaginary being, or am I wrong?"
Setsuna's head hung down. "Of course you aren't, Kono-chan, I swear I'll drop that pernicious habit."
"Better, much better," Konoka nodded. "Anyway, Misora-chan, the only thing we are going to ask from you is to keep our little short trip a secret, and if anyone asks you about our whereabouts while we're away, you'll tell them we're in a Golden Week trip to Iinchou's private island in the South Pacific."
"Isn't that too much of a far-out cover story?" asked Misora.
"Of course not, it's the most normal thing in the world!" said Konoe.
"So... we can't go," Misora quietly said.
"Unless you really want to," Konoka said, "But we knew you wouldn't want, because--"
"Because I'm a coward," Misora said.
"Oh dear, no! You're a sensate, prudent and careful girl who--"
"I'm as capable as any of you!" Misora slammed her hands on the table. "How comes all of a sudden I'm the coward that must stay at home while you risk your necks hogging Negi-kun all to yourselves?! Who ran up a giant demon to save you at Kyoto? Iinchou? Asuna? Misa?"
"... so you want to go?" Konoka innocently asked.
"No! Of course I don't! Because it's stupid and deadly and Sister Shakti will kill me anyway even if I manage to return! And she'll learn of it somehow, no matter if I stay or go! But I'll go regardless, because you aren't treating me as a coward even if I am one!"
"You always could tell Sister Shakti even before they--" Cocone began.
"I may be a coward, but I prefer any kind of lethal risk than becoming a snitch!" Misora huffed. "Me, breaking the Prankster Code by becoming an informant? Please, Cocone-chan!"
"Just asking," her little companion nodded, then subtly exchanged a brief thumbs-up with Konoka while Misora closed her eyes to huff indignantly. All the while shaking violently.
"Well, it never was our intention to drag you along," Konoka shamelessly lied as she stood up, "but we're all so glad you'll come with us regardless! Right, Setchan? As soon as we work the details out, we'll call you to give the time and place of the rendezvous! In the meanwhile, please get your luggage ready! And make a lot of sandwiches! I like mine with tuna!"
"Tuna. Right," Misora forced herself to nod several times, waving as Konoka and Setsuna walked out, waving as well, before she could rethink things over. "Good night, then. See you, um, tomorrow? Whatever..."
Once she and Cocone were alone again, Misora moaned. "I have just done something horribly stupid without thinking it through first, haven't I?"
"Well, that's a big part of your personal charm..."

Convincing Sakurako and Misa to come along was easy enough for Satomi. So we'll skip over that part, because frankly, at this rate we'll be getting really repetitive really soon. However...
"This is bad!" Sakurako worried as they waited for Madoka to come back. "If our excuse's gonna be Iinchou's taking us to her island for the Golden Week, how are we gonna tell Madoka-chan Iinchou doesn't want her around?"
"I'm thinking!" Misa said, sitting on her bunk's edge.
"And she'll be mad with us over leaving her here!" Sakurako said.
"I said I'm thinking! Don't rush genius!" Misa added.
"Our beautiful friendship, threatened!" Sakurako all but wailed. "I know! What if we let her in the secret as well!"
"Absolutely not!" her roommate denied.
"But, but we've let Haruna in! And Asakura! You can't tell me Madoka-chan is less trustworthy than them!"
"Of course she isn't, but she also loves her normalcy!" argued Misa. "The poor girl's already got her hands full with that wacko new club of hers, do you want her to also be saddled with Negi-kun's own weirdness?"
Sakurako stopped, staring at her friend. "... whoa, Misa-chan. That's really selfless and noble from you...!"
"Are you implying I'm normally not like that, Saku-chan?" Misa asked dangerously.
"... just a little bit," answered Sakurako, who more often than not preferred being all sincerity, and chose badly the moments to keep the lies pocketed back.
Before Misa could launch her wounded retort, the bedroom's door went open, scaring them, and in walked a contrite-looking Madoka. "Umm... girls? How are you doin', look, I wanted to discuss something with you..."
"Ma-Madoka-chan!" Sakurako forced a terrified grin. "W-What a coincidence, we really wanted to tell you something as well, but--!"
"But I'm afraid you might hate me over this..." Madoka shared.
"D-Don't be silly, Madoka-chan! We never would hate you over anything, would we, Misa-chan?"
"... that depends," Misa droned. "What is it, Madoka?"
"Um, well, about our plans for the Golden Week? Koizumi-sempai's cousin invited the club over to his villa in an island over the Week's duration, and Haruhi-sempai is really adamant on us to go. And, and I know it's unfair to you guys, and I won't blame you if you get mad at me, but really, it's a chance to finally get somewhere with Kyon-sempai, and it's a chance in a lifetime, not like Iinchou ever invites us to her own island, and I'll bring you souvenirs, and please don't hate me you mean a lot to me!" she begged, slamming her hands together.
Misa's eyes grew huge and starry, and she placed her hands on Madoka's shoulders. "Why, but Madocchi...! Of course you can, should, and MUST go there...!"
"Should I...?" Madoka asked.
"Ah-hah!" Misa nodded eagerly. "Don't worry about us, we'll cope! As long as you're happy, so are we! Go for that man, you Tigress!"
Madoka's eyes shifted suspiciously, and she glanced over at Sakurako. "Okay, what's she up to now?"
"Well..." Sakurako began.
Misa gasped, horrified. "How cruel! My own friends, thinking I must have ulterior motives for every time I act generous and selfless towards them!"
"... we're also going to an island with Iinchou," Sakurako explained. "Part of the activities for the English Research Society. We're going to, um, practice our English with the natives. The natives that Iinchou brought from overseas. Hawaii. I think. Anyway, isn't this a happy coincidence?"
"Ah. Yeah, sure, it is!" Madoka nodded. "Well, that's great, it's alright then! Man, I was sure you'd hate me over that..."
"Ha-ha-ha, no, no way we'd ever hate you...!" Misa laughed aloud. "Even if your opinion of me is so low...!"
"Well," Madoka smiled, "my opinion on you will improve if you also bring me lots of cool souvenirs from that island, okay? I mean, who knows, maybe we'll end up buying the same kind of things, how varied can be the souvenirs in token private Pacific islands, but we'll try our best regardless, right? Just don't try any funny stuff with Negi-kun while you're there, okay? I'm going to take a shower now..." she announced, moving out and towards the bath.
Once they were alone again, Sakurako asked Misa, "Do you have any ideas where we could buy South Pacific swag in a parallel magical world?"
"I'm thinking...!!"

"Ku-roshi," Negi bowed as soon as Ku Fei opened her room's door for him and the ermine sitting on his head. "Good evening! I'm sorry to be a bother, but is Haruna-san in?"
"Hoo-hoooo!" came Haruna's voice from the inside. "So I'm not 'Saotome-san' anymore! Re-la-tion-ship up-grade!" she sing-sang.
He sighed while Ku giggled and closed the door as soon as he was inside. "You told me 'Saotome-san' was your father, didn't you? Anyway, Haruna-san," he added, while Haruna walked out of her small studio, wiping her ink-stained hands clean with a cloth. It was probably better not asking. "I wanted to have a few a few words with you..."
"Is about magic affairs?" Ku asked, full of curiosity.
Negi flinched visibly.
"Baka Yellow not that baka when not dealing with books," Ku wagged a finger. "And Baka Yellow saw too many things at Kyoto, with Negi-bozou in middle of they all. Also, Negi-bouzou is very healthy so soon after Chachamaru's beating, so Konoka-san healed you, right? Oh, and Haruna is very big loudmouth too."
"I seem to remember someone subtly threatening my fingers if I didn't say all I knew..." Haruna mused aloud.
"That sure was translation mistake," Ku piously said, making Haruna think maybe they had spent too long together. "So, Ermine-san can talk freely now. Ku won't spill whistle or blow the beans!"
Chamo waved a paw at her. "Charmed to finally talk to you, Ku-nesan!"
She just poked him in the face with a finger, sending him convulsing to the floor in pain. "ANIMAL ABUSE!" he cried.
Ku kept on smiling saintly. "I have no problem with dumb animal stealing underwear, but that changes when I know animal have human intelligence!"
"Honestly, what's the big deal with underwer anyway?" Negi lamented as he carefully picked Chamo up in his arms. "That was mean! If Chamo stole shirts or handkerchiefs, would you guys keep punishing him that badly?"
"That's different, because--" Haruna began to explain before Ku clamped a hand around her mouth.
"You know," Negi said, looking at them, "one of these days, one way or another, I'm going to figure this kind of things out, and I'm sure I'll be wondering what was the big deal about them anyway. But that's not here or now. Haruna-san, will you be available during the Golden Week?"
Haruna blinked, then grinned and cooed, taking a hand to her cheek. "Oooooohhhhh! So I'm the Chosen One! I figured it was a bit too early in the game, but if you're really honest about your feelings, I'll gladly accept!"
Negi blinked back. "Um, yeah, I'm really honest about my feelings of solidarity towards Haruka-san, so of course I'll help her rescuing Kikukawa-san, and I don't think it's too early for that, quite the opposite, we've been idle on the subject for too long. Technically you aren't the Chosen One, however, since going there with a single person would be foolish, even if that person is as skilled and talented as you are. How did you already know about it, anyway?"
Haruna's face betrayed the deepest of disappointments.
"... that wasn't what you were talking about?" Negi guessed.
"Haruna, you already have boyfriend," Ku Fei reminded.
"And he's already got a fiancee!" Haruna pointed out. "So? Our relationship is special, wonderful and as open as my mother's legs!"
"Oh!" Negi blushed. "Oh, you meant... N-No! Sorry, it never was about a date, why, that'd be improper, and-- wait, what's with that remark about your mother's legs? What does that have to do at all with this?"
Again, Ku Fei's hands found their way around Haruna's mouth.
Negi exhaled. "It's just unfair. You keep learning everything there is to know about me, but it's never the other way around. Not that I mean to be a snoop, and not that you are, but just once, it'd be nice to get straight answers to these bizarre situations..."
"No it wouldn't," Ku Fei said. "Right, Haruna?"
"MmMPPPH mmhhPPPHHH mm-MMM!" Haruna vehemently disagreed.
"See, even Haruna agree with that!"

"So that's the way it is," Haruna hummed, her chin resting on a hand, and her other hand tapping on the table.
Negi, who now sat across the table, nodded. "So, what do you have to say? If I maybe as bold as to suggest, then I'd suggest for you to act scandalized and choose to remain where it's safe and comfortable."
"I think that's a completely bonkers, stupid and plain crazy idea, so I love it!" Haruna grinned. "The delicious irony it's the Vice Prez herself pushing for such a reckless and dubiously licit course of action only makes it sweeter!"
"Is there a lot of strong people there? Like in night at Kyoto?" an interested Ku Fei, sitting next to Haruna, asked. "If so, I go with you. That was really thrilling fight!"
"We aren't going there to pick fights with anyone!" Negi said. "It's just a quick, locate, grab and retrieve rescue operation!"
"One in which we still could end up fighting a lot of strong people," Haruna pointed out.
"Which is why you shouldn't go," Negi agreed.
"Let's see, other than you and the Vice Prez, how many have confirmed they'll go?" Saotome asked.
"Well, so far, it's Chisame-san, Satomi-san, Misora-san, Cocone-chan, Misa-san, Sakurako-san, Asuna-san, Konoka-san, Setsuna-san, Iinchou-san, Makie-san, Skuld-san, Yuuna-san, and Tsunetsuki-san. Chachamaru-san is currently discussing her participation with Master Evangeline. Oh, and Haruka-san has apparently recruited Tatsumiya-san's services for the expedition, as well."
"If none of them has backed away, why would I?" Haruna argued. "How do you think I could ever look into my father's eyes again knowing Misora went there and I didn't?"
"... I'm not sure I like your implications on Misora-san's moral fortitude and bravery there," Negi confessed.
"Same difference! I'm still going!" Haruna tossed her hands up. "How about you, Ku-chan?"
"I'm torn..." Ku Fei moaned. "On one hand, if no big fights happen, I go there only to waste time. On other, if you run into bight fights, I kicking myself forever for missing them..."
Haruna blinked. "You're being offered the chance to visit another world full of magic and wonder and excitement, and all you care about are fights?! Not even my dad is that bad! I mean, he at least would show interest on the magical cures to be found there!"
Ku looked at her. "But I no having anything I need curing with magic."
"That's not what I mean, that's-- aaarrrghhh, forget it!" Haruna waved her hands up. "Sometimes you can be just impossible!"
"So we're chalking you up as well, Nee-chan," a satisfied Chamo nodded while Negi grumbled his dissatisfaction to himself. "Now, Sora-neesama's the only one of the Bro's Ministra left to sign in. I don't think we have to worry about her decision, tho'...!"
