Honor & Guidance - - - - - Life is a balance. It's never two sides, however. It's never This vs. That. It's never Black and white, Cold or Hot, Up or Down. It's all that's in between; the gasping for air and the thriving, the new shoots and the old leaves, the broken twigs and massive oaks. There's the elderly and the young, the sick, deathly sick, healthy and exuberant. A faceted diamond. What we teach is the harmony, the honor, and the balance of it all. and to guide your understanding of the world is to guide your way through adventuring. To make the most of your adventuring experience, you should understand the depths of life and death around you, and how you walk a fine, if incredibly diverse, line. Surviving the wilderness and fending off an enemy; how to defend, how to attack, how to thrive with the nature and how to make the most of the animals and beasts. How to read the stars, how to find shelter, when to tell nature is preparing for war or if it's at peace. Remember... 1. A calm mind eases any storm As long as you practice peace of mind, you'll find your strength even when at your wits end. You'll find your balance, your morality, and more depth of perception of the world through a calm, steady thought than you ever will through emotion. 2. Everything changes No matter what you believe you're suited for, whether that's defensive, offensive, or protective maneuvers, gathering seeds or hunting, star-mapping or reading trails, if it's no longer your forte, you'll be more than welcome to try something new. Your name, your identity, does not need to change depending on what you do or do not do. 3. Morality Morality is no longer black or white, but a spectrum of what has happened, what is, what was, and all the ones involved. Its up to you to decide if hunting a mothering Faelog is cruel or necessity; if found gold in a crypt is an earning, or grave robbing. No one can tell you what is good, or what is bad. The only true guidelines with adventuring are the guides set by your soul,a nd your choices. Edited by Evolhiem, Jun 4 2017, 04:45 AM.
