The more I think about it, the more I want to blindside Helen next time my tribe loses. I just don't trust her. You don't get a second chance with me. Once you betray my trust, it is just too hard to gain it back. And Helen has betrayed my trust on two counts.

1. She pretended we were tight and wanted to compare notes on other players. She told me she didn't feel comfortable having conversations like that with anyone else. I was her "buddy." She said all this and got me telling her things only so she could turn around and rat me out to Big Mike about something I said about him. Besides being two-faced, those sorts of actions are also very damaging to me and are, thus, dangerous. Big Mike might now be a lost cause to me... thanks to Helen.

2. She told Pam that her "woman's intuition" is that I can't be trusted because of certain things I've said to her or "haven't said." Her read on me was piss poor, because while she was rubbing my name in the mud, I was writing in my confessional about how much I wanted to work with her. But that's not the point. The point is, she has already stated that she doesn't necessarily want to work with me long-term. The only other player that I already know this about is Crystal. Why would I want to keep around one of the two players that I actually KNOW will probably target me at some point, when there are so many players that could potentially work with me long-term? That's just not logical. Keeping potential enemies around is dangerous.

The bottom line is I'm having a hard time conducting acts of espionage and sabotage, because I've lost my diguise in an open ID format. Helen still has her disguise and I'm seeing all kinds of signs that point to her being very successful at espionage and sabotage. That needs to be taken care of. I do not want to end up being assassinated by her.

While I don't want to do Newman's bidding (I can see him trying to influence the whole game in a way that benefits him), I also don't want to become one of Helen's tools. I feel like I'm being manipulated in this game more than I'm manipulating at this point. I'm being tugged on by multiple sides. I will NOT be a pawn all game, but if I can make people THINK I will, maybe that can be my disguise. I'll listen to other people's "advice" for a while and then BOOM, strike with my own independent agenda.

If a blindside of Helen came to be........what would concern you the most: the effect it would have within your own tribe or the effect it could have on your perception in the game
from other tribes?

I hate my tribe. I could care less about the damage this does to my tribe. My tribe, to me, is a temporary phase... a necessary evil. Once Helen is gone, what repercussions will I face on my tribe? None. I'll basically have saved Andy. He'll see Big Mike voted for him. Where's that trust now? What will Mike do, force a 2-2 tie the next round to try and eliminate me? Or Pam? Yeah right. What would be Andy's benefit to forcing a tie when he isn't in danger?

My concern is for the big picture. I want to shed the Hunter image. Newman says I can't avoid the radar. I'm already on the radar. The thing is, I'm not the ONLY one on the radar. If I'm the FIRST player of the game to make a power move, I become THE person on the radar. That would be great for people like Newman and Melissa... not so great for me.

I have to weigh out the pros and cons to a plan like this. What is more dangerous, commiting a power move out in the open for all eyes to see or allowing Helen to stick around and sabotage my game? I'm not sure. It's a hard question. In a regular game, with isolated tribes, it's a no-brainer. Helen goes next. In this game, there is no easy decision.

I'm currently talking it over with Pam.

Update: 1/24/12 5:45 pm

So now talk has shifted to a possible "super alliance." LOL.

It was first mentioned to me by Big Mike, who claims he heard it involves Dwight, Jack, Sawyer, Robb, and Jill. He claims he is concerned about this alliance because it is a cross-tribe alliance and he wants to protect our tribe, which is made up of all former Toledo members.

The I heard about it from JR, who heard about it via Helen. Helen, Helen, Helen. Why does her name keep coming up?

So I asked Helen about it. She says she was JUST ABOUT TO MESSAGE ME ABOUT IT, since she had just read about that herself. Really Helen? Seems you already knew about it, since you had already talked to JR about it. Slippery... again. Like Mike, she reckons it involves Jack, Sawyer, Dwight, Robb, and Jill.

Now, JR didn't quite seem to know who it involved... but both Ryan and Helen did. Also interesting. It is possible that this is a real threat, or it is possible that Helen/Ryan made it up. It is also possible that it is real and Helen or Ryan head about it from a source close to the alliance itself... so...

I probed Helen to find out where she heard it from. In typical Helen fashion, she didn't bite... didn't give me any information. All she would offer was "I was wondering that myself." And then she acted like we should avoid all the "he said she said stuff." I'm not trying to get into any "he said she said stuff." I'm trying to compare notes about a seemingly mutual threat that Helen knows more about than me. That's what allies do. But Helen is showing me again and again that she is not my ally. And she also doesn't want me to know that she knows more about this than I do... either because she has connections that she doesn't want me to know she has, or because she is making stuff up and she doesn't want to get caught.

I also shot Newman a message about this, since his name was left out of the alliance roster, and these are people he thinks he is working with.
