![]() Name: Jazbet ( of Loghn Meols) Age:17 History: Jazbet is a well known musician and general mischief maker in Loghn Meols. An orphan and street urchin with no knowledge of his family he was found in a wrecked carriage alone as a babe. Taken in to the care of a local orphanage his education was enough to read and write. His sole possession from the carriage that has remained in his life is a lute with the etching R.K in Elrulese script. Young life in a packed orphanage was difficult for the lean boy and he found himself the target of other children's cruelty, the bane of jokes and the personal punching bag to the larger boys. Seeking sanctuary, Jazbet would learn to sneak out of the orphanage and into town where he would lift the coin purses of drunk passersby, listen and study the sound of music being played, and peer into the windows of more well off to do folk who would read stories to their children. It was at this time the young Jazbet fell in love with fictional and historical tales both. The lore of Archanea was a wondrous history chock full of secrets and legend that the young man strived to uncover. Each evening he would sneak out to play at his lute on the roof tops of town, eavesdrop the stories and tales told in taverns and in the personal homes he "visited", making frequent visits to private libraries where he acquired privately owned books and tomes. Each morning he would sneak back into his bed to continue receiving the ill treatment of other children, until he learned that a life on his own terms was far more preferable to the misery he suffered during the days at the orphanage. He promptly ran away and made home in the shady alleys of a shanty town near the docks. He could almost always afford the left over Scraps of food to provide nourishment for each day, and pick pocketed when that was not enough. Taking on odd jobs and playing his lute in the street lead to Jazbet being a recognized face in the poorer parts of town, until his acquaintance was made with a foreign merchants daughter. Keen to his unique style of play, he visited the young woman and played music for her. In turn she recited Megesi poems and tutored him in the tongue of the land itself. For a year he shared this friendship until the girl's father had business which took the family elsewhere. Alas Jazbet was again, alone. Belongings: A seven stringed Lute etched with the initials R.K in Elrulese. A shanty hut with a wool blanket and several books of Archanean history.
