Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals reach agreement.
Texas sends:
C Will Swanner(COL) 100k SS/2B Luis Sardenas 100k
St. Louis sends:
Jonathan Papelbon 13.85M
We agree to this deal. While we are comfortable with our long-term INF, Swanner was pegged as our top C prospect, especially after trading Alfaro. It is tough to move a hitter in COLs system but with his defense lacking, well take the MLB talent this year and begin pursuing a catcher.
Nice dealing Cards and best of luck!

Accepted. St Louis feels that in accepting this trade we move the last large salary off our roster and free up some space for some FA. We gain Sardinas and Swanner two prospects that I like a lot. Longer term potential is what I am after. This is a great deal.
Solid working with Texas.

Approve #1. I like sides in this deal. Cards move a large salary while getting 2 prospects and not having to pay anything. Rangers get a top closer to help him win now.
