The padres and Rangers have again decided to make a deal, and hope that can continue this relationship.
Padres Receive Jorge Alfaro PP Roughned Odor PP Nick Williams PP Luke Jackson PP Chadwick Bell PP 1st(Tex-2014)
Rangers receive Tommy Layne PP Nick Vincent PP 1st SD 2013 1st & 3rd SD 2014
The Padres accept this deal in getting some depth and going after a few guys where I really like their ceilings. Also there are hopefully a few safe guys in here that should see the MLB in 2014. I give up Firsts which I hate to do, but in this case, I like knowing what I was getting,

Rangers accept.
We strengthen our bullpen now and move up in the draft, while continuing to gut the minor league farm.

Approve, I really like this trade for both sides. Pads get Nick Williams who can flat our rake plus Odor who is a rising prospect plus a 1st rounder for what he gave up. Rangers gets a bevy of 1st rounders to continue to add to his hoard. These are the types of deals that can be interesting in a couple of years. Nice deal for both sides.

Approve #2. I also feel this side works out well for both teams. I really like the Padres side getting Odor, Alfaro, and Jackson. If Alfaro can just learn to hit a little bit he could be a monster. Texas gets the draft picks he covets and continues to re-shape his organization from the previous GM. Nice work fellas.
