The Pirates and Giants agree to a trade this morning.
The Pirates trade back Giants 2ND round pick (2013)
The Giants trade back Travis Snider 480,000
The Pirates agree to this deal simply because we regretted when we traded him and walker to Giants in the 1ST place. We like Sniders age and contract and feel that he has a nice hime in Pittsburgh for at least 4 more years. At the least, he will be a bench bat. We give up the last pick in round 2 for his services. The second may be a little high, but it was the latest pick I have until the 6th which would not have worked. All in all, I am excited to have Travis home and think this works for both teams. Thanks Giants and good luck to your season.

Part of off season goals accomplished with this deal clearing roster spot for valued free agents or trade which the pick may help with future deals good luck to Travis in Pittsburgh

Approve, a low 2nd does have value, but its in the 60 range in drafting. Snider could be a decent breakout candidate.

Approve 3. Even trade, draft pick for a failed prospect looking for redemption in Pittsburgh. Giants clear a roster spot too.
