The padres and Royals have made a trade and also had a very quick discussion in order to get this done.
The padres receive SP Kyle Smith PP SP Donnie Joseph PP OF Lewis Brinson PP SP Bryan Brickhouse PP SP Sam Selman
The Royals receive Adam Lind $5M (13); $7M (14); $7.5M (15); $8M (16) Padres pay $5M in 2013 for adam lind
I agree to this deal, I get a lot of upside specs in this deal and also like Brinson who I think will be ready for on OF spot in 2 or 3 years. My MLB needs work, so I will just keep building the farm.

Royals Explanation: We are giving up a lot of lower prospects for a slugging first baseman who I hope can return to form. We didn't even have to give up one of our top prospects and got a free guy back who can fill our utility spot. Good dealing Pads.

Approve #1. While there are a lot of prospects in this deal, none of them are considered impact prospects right now. Yes they have upside (Brinson the most, but he is still a ways away), but they are not their system's top prospects. Padres add depth to his system while Royals gets another MLB offensive player. Good deal for both GMs who are continuing to shape their teams.
