The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club Agree To Send:
SP Wily Peralta-400k
The Tampa Bays Rays Agree To Send:
SS Jake Hager-100k(prospect) SP Jeff Ames-100k(prospect) SP Parker Markel-100k(prospect)
The Brewers accept. We like Peralta, but he just didn't fit our plans. So we decided to ship him to Tampa for 3 under the radar prospects we really like. Hager, we think, can be our SS of the future. He is a former 1st round pick in 2011, who hit really well last year, batting .281 with 10 HRs and 72 RBIs. We think we can develop him further.
Ames is another former 1st round pick, also in 2011, who pitched really well last year posting a 6-1 record with a 1.96 ERA and averaging almost 10 Ks per 9. We think that under our tutelage can blossom into a really solid starter for us in the future.
Markel was a late round pick who has surprised our scouts with his velocity(touching 97) and his command that we think we can turn him into a very solid late innings reliever for us in the future.
All in all, we like our return for Peralta that we think can turn into something special for us down the road. Nice dealing Rays, and good luck

Rays accept. We have a deep farm system so 3 mid-tier prospects was worth the price tag for Wily Peralta. He is the real-life Brewers #1 prospect, is projected to be a #3 starter (and even possibly making the rotation this year). He should be a workhorse. If he gets injured again, this trade will favor the Brewers. But the risk is worth it for our ballclub. Happy to add another young pitcher to our team. Good luck Brewers.

Not a huge Peralta fan myself. I really like the package going back to Brewers. I think this is a trade TB might regret. After saying that, there isn't a significant problem with this trade. Approve #1.

Approve, the trade itself is pretty good. I feel Brewers got the better end of it, but Peralta I just read today is a lock for the rotation in 2013. That boosts his value pretty good. The price to pay for a young, cheap, potential arm is pretty high.
