The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have agreed on a trade:
The Brewers Agree To Send:
1B Yonder Alonso=$480k
The Angels Agree To Send:
2B Taylor Lindsay-$100k OF Randall Grichuk-$100k RP R.J. Alvarez-$100k
Brewers lose 180k in cap Angels gain 180k in cap
The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club accept this deal. We had 4 1B, and we felt we needed to loosen the logjam there somewhat. We feel more comfortable with Gamel at 1B, and felt Yonder was expendable. We like Yonder's game, but we felt this deal was too good to pass up. We feel Lindsay can be an excellent utility man for us in the future, Grichuk will be a nice future 4th OFer, and our centerpiece to the deal, Alvarez, will be our future closer. Nice dealing Angels, and good luck this year.

Approve #1. Fine deal. Three prospects for a 1B. Alonzo has room to improve and grow, but his stats are pretty average for the position (despite his former prospect status). Brewers likes the prospects in return and I think Grichuk is getting an invite to spring training. Nice to see trading happening in here. Good deal for both.

Approve, a good chunk to give up Alonso, but it works.

Approve #3. Like others said, bug haul, but Alonzo has the chance still to be really good. He is still young so, for that reason, I will pass.
