Expanding on Trompe and Naive's idea of an inner and outer city, I thought we could use the land around the pyramid to better use. How about a port area, with docks and jetties. Maybe even a fish storage shed! I was also thinking about maybe adding a Grand Temple on the big hill next to the pyramid (the one that 75hi claimed). I'll put in a blueprint application as soon as I get the planning in. |

At Naive's behest, I've added a port area near the pyramid. Streagar and I have leveled most of the eastern side of the outer city by now. As for suggestions, we need more miner's, hunters and a baker. I suggest that, in times of peace, the lower ranking members of the military have side jobs that they perform whenever they're not doin military stuff. I don't know what duties they already have, so this may not be a realistic idea if they're already quite busy, but I think it would be a good, TEMPORARY solution to our lack of peasants problem. |

One thing I must add is (in my opinion) that there are too much millitary people. We need more miners and other workers to keep Egypt in good shape. |

JabbaDHutt had the Idea that low ranking military personal have side jobs for when they are not required to be on full alert. I think this would be a great way to increase resource income, We don't have any major threat at the moment (that i'm aware of) so I think it is the way to go. |

I will probably make it so anyone under the rank of Quartermaster in the military will need to get a job outside of the military for the reasons stated above. |

Here's my thought, instead of having all of the city's items stored below the throne, why don't we create specific buildings to house each material? We already have the carpentry where all the wood and wood products are stored and a bakery for food. Why not make a masonry (if that's a word) where we store all of our stone, stone products and earth blocks, a clothier (or something) where we keep out wool and dyes, a bank for gold and diamonds, etc... It would be more authentic than just one massive storage room and it would give us a lot of cool new buildings to fill the area by the new carpentry and smithy. On the downside, we'd (somewhat) loose the convenience of having everything in one place (though most if not all of the buildings would be close together) and it might be a little hard for new players to find everything. If this is an idea we would like to impliment, I would be happy to go through every item in minecraft, sort them all into groups and find out what buildings to put them in. |

I like Jabba's idea... Would make me stop frustrating every time I go into the storage. Even though a helpful soul put up signs now. Masonry- Cobble and stone related things Bank-Ores and precious things (Tnt, obsidian, slimes) Tailor-All cloth related items along with strings Blacksmith-Tools, Weapons and glass Carpentry-Wooden things Granary/Baker/Supermarket-Foodstuff (Not an actual Walmart replica..even though that would be cool) |

I'll go through all of the minecraft items and see if we can logically fit them into the buildings you listed, trompe. If i have any issues i'll post them here later. |

Jabba i love your Idea. and btw Trompe, i put up those signs. i got tired of not knowing were everything was! Also i know it is your brain child Jabba but i took the liberty of compiling all the items of minecraft into organized buildings Download it here. Edited by Kremlin16, Aug 5 2011, 12:31 AM.

I was thinking that for a while too. I was going to build one before the reset but never got around to it. Since it is one of the most recognized symbols of Egypt we really should have one.

I was thinking about making a sphynx but to really capture the detail I realised it would be a massive job. Also what do you guys think of someone getting the job of electrician? Do we have anyone really proficient with redstone? |
