....and arrive they DID! Lines formed in what seemed like minutes and traffic control became a big issue. All those hot rods filtering thorugh one registration table caused quite a backup......  We took advantage of the holdup at the gate by hitching a ride in the Hot Air Balloon that's part of the activities (...more on that later). You can really appreciate the heavy, early turnout from the air......  WHOA!!!!! It can get pretty WINDY up here. Hang on to that BASKET!!!....  Here's a zoom-in of just one small corner of the Fairgrounds, and it's still early!!  Another shot of the gate from the Balloon. Howard just made it through. Dave-in-the-Hat's truck looks like it could roll through anybody in its way.  Before landing, we took one last look from above the roadway. That line is still pretty long. Once everybody gets in, though, we can walk around the field and take some detail shots of the beautiful iron that has shown up for the Kruize and cover the Special Events once they begin.
