After the Burnout Kontest the low-battery light on the camera started to flash, but as we made our way back to the car through the "Big Truck" section of the Fairgrounds there was enough juice to get a quick shot of four flat beds: (l. to r.) Richard Olson's beautifully restored '29 Dodge Bros. truck and his '31 Model AA, and Dan Stobert's stakebody and green Mack. The workmanship on all these trucks is top-notch. ![]() Here's another look from the K&J Balloon..... ![]() The quality of the woodwork on these trucks is outstanding. Bodywork, too....... ![]() On our way back through with new batteries, we came across Dave Roehrle's Monster Kenworth and Dan Stobert's wrecker..... ![]() Before we could take any more pictures, Dan whipped in front of us in his water-tank-hauling 4WD and stopped to accommodate another photographer..... ![]() This Glamour (?) Shot of Dave's monster reveals its true beauty and the amount of work involved in its transformation. We're not sure, but we believe the child is crying..... ![]() We didn't have to ask Dan twice to turn his wrecker around so we could see the great scratchbuilding job he did on the rear end...
