The Scrapple wasn't done yet (...how long does it take to cook SCRAPPLE,
for Pete's sake?) so we took another walk around the Fairgrounds.
The first thing that caught our eye was Melvin Jones' walk-in (second from
right), that had arrived pulling a trailered Cobra. To the left is Dan Stobert's
pickup, parking beside Hollywood Jim's cross-country Rat.

On the other side of the van is a Mercman Lead Sled, Steve Curbishley's
wagon, HJ's infamous retreived coupe (under the watchful eye of the local
police, who are just waiting for Jim to break the law again) and Chester's
chopped pickup.

Here's another view of those same cars, but in this shot we can see
Mike Boyle's Hoodless Horseman Ford sedan....

There's one at every show. A knucklehead who builds something outlandish
just to get attention. This time it's a Toilet Go-Kart, temporarily parking
beside Dan Stobert's sedan delivery

Mike Boyle's pickup and Richard Olson's roadster can just be seen in the background

You may have noticed that Virgil isn't holding up his sign in any of the
previous pictures. That's because (if you look closely at the center of
the next picture) he has strategically plopped himself on a lawn chair in
the back of his pickup to catch a glimpse of every car coming through
the gate. Are you getting enough Eye Candy, Virg??

This shot will give you an idea of the level of activity as the Kruize
gets into full swing. Ron Royston's flamed Merc sits butt-to-butt with
Steve Curbushley's nostalgia roadster. To the delight of the crowd, the
K&J Speed Shop Nostalgia front-engine dragster is being rolled through
the gate in the background. Now THAT should have been in the Burnout Contest....
