Thinking some of Richard's luck would rub off on HIS Forty, Mike Boyle tried the platform without any luck. Richard's success rubbed Dave Roehrle, too - the wrong way. Normally mild-manner Dave, in line behind Mike, was determined not to let Richard get the best of him.  Acrid smoke belched from Dave's stacks as he pulled up to the platform.  He inched further and further up the platform as every burning eye in the crowd focused on the bellowing Behemoth.  The crowd fell silent as the last of his 10 mammoth tires hit the platform. Dave backed off the throttle for more control....  ....as the Teeter-Totter collapsed under the weight of his stupid truck.  Thanks to Dave, the fun was over and everybody just went back to the car show. Since there's nothing left to do here, we might as well take a walk behind the Speed Shop and check out the junk yard. |
