Here is my latest entry. It's a custom 49 Merc. It's based on the AMT 49 Mercury kit with the addition of a Jimmy Flintstone resin body. The paint is House of Color with Slixx graphics thrown in. The spun aluminum wheel covers are from Parts by Parks. The oil filter is from Detail Master. The model features a detailed flathead. The Stromberg carbs. are from Model Car Garage along with a MCG photo etch fan. The Optima battery is cast from resin. The exhaust is aluminum tubing with machined aluminum tailpipes. The driveshaft is also aluminum tubing. The headlights have been frenched along with parts box bullet taillights. The grill is mesh screen cut to fit. The overall build took a total of 2 months to complete.
