Thanks fellas! :)
Im astounded at the quality of builds here! And the dios, makes me wanna do one! Is there a thread with just mountain of pics of dios? I'd really like to get some ideas, thinking barnfind or something... Id post up pics of my nooby models, but my camera decided to let me forget to turn it off, so now i need some batteries -_-... Id really like to see a tutorial on covering a dio base with dirt and rocks, i know it sounds simple, but my first (shamefull) tiny dio was on polystyrene, with gluggy housepaint smeared on and a pile of sand from the sandpit plopped on top (loads up photobucket to see if he has a pic)....................................

I think this was the third or fourth model car, was about 2 years ago i think cant remember, and I'd just got a electric drill, so i went to town on this car!

Bruse, you got me thinking, Id like to do a dio of that, the volcano... I ripped the side off of a 1 footer fish tank and am searching for some styro to shape for a creek/ river bed... i really want to incorporate an old computer fan into it, glad-wrap the dront or something and have loose 'ash' floating around :) Very ambitious for a first timer I know, but I just wanna jump in the deep end so to speak... Ill need all the help I can get, so pipe up! heres what i need to know:
-Ground covering 101
-Backdrop 101
-Water 101
-How to stick things down and not have them fall all over the place.

so if someone could pretty much write a book for me that would be dandy! :$ The thing i need to know first and foremost is ground covering... heres what I have to work with- gluggy old house paint, styro, all the dirt, sand and grass i could ever need... no PVA glue as of yet, but hoping to get some cheap stuff soon. This is a huge project for me so critisizm is extremely welcome!

Edit: Oops forgot the picture!
