I fell and hit my head and woke up with the urge to build something in 1/25th scale.
Here's the motor for it (all that's done so far)...

Posted Image

It's from the Galaxie '48 Chevy. What a great motor. Plenty of detail
The Stromberg carb and linkage are from Model Car Garage:

Posted Image

Nothing like a new set of plug wires to spruce up an old mill....

Posted Image

The plug boots seem a little big, but they look smaller in perseon.

I can't tell you what it's going in just yet, but it's NOT a Rat and it's NOT a truck........

Nice work.!

Stop right there son.

That straight six brings back memories of my '58 Chevy pickup. That mofo could sit in the barn for six months and I could just go in there in the middle of winter and push the starter pedal on the floor and KABOOM it would start up without a whimper.

I was going to change the truck into a forklift for used arcade equipment but never got around to it. :P :P :P

Do we have a Chuck Doan type of build going on here where the fly poops are taking over the added detail?

I'm going to have to go to Google maps and look in you're windows again. That looks good. Should be an interesting project. What are you going to do for wheels?

Ken will probably outsource the wheels to some Lithuanian cabinetmaker who has 17 virgin Bulgarians weaving the spokes out of discarded Russian chocolate candy wrappers.

One of those lumber carriers with aluminum slots on it would look awesome, lol.
Imagine one with a 426 Hemi in it...Talk about hauling logs?

Leave the site with whole tree's, get to the truck with toothpicks, lol.

Ken, I AM YOUR FATHER>>>>>Welcome BACK to the dark side!!!!!
Actually, Darkside Daddy, one of the motivating factors for this project was an off-hand
comment you made some time ago that I hadn't really built anything in a long time.........
(meaning, I assumed, anything in 1/25th scale)...and you were right.

I need to see if I still have the big-scale touch!

Probably use Mack C-cab skinny tires around scratchbuilt wheels.....

I am assuming this will be a 1/25 version of your 1/72 (?) version ?
Can't wait to see some progress. Engine looks fantastic. I see a little "Doan" in there!

The little one is 1/48th scale....

....and the main reason I bought the kit was so I could blow up the plans to 1/25th scale.
Sure beat having to draw them from scratch.

What time frame did lumber yards stop using these mule/buggys? Never really seen many of these that's for sure.

Yup, that's the one I was thinking of. That is such a cool project, one I am sure you will pull-off with great success Mr. Hamilton. Love that logger.
