Fun idea John. I have to say, its a little strange looking at a photo of an early 19th century ship, as we really don't have a period frame of reference.

John, I've been looking a lot at old photos lately and they are rarely black and white (although they are called that). They range from a cool blue tint, to a green tint to sepia. It would be fun to see what you get when you use the duotone options on photoshop.

Nice stuff john. Have you played with adobe lightroom? I got lightroom 2 and the presets for old film/brownie cameras is amazing, looks like the real deal.
