Hey all I got back into models a few years ago and was looking for some new tricks to learn from others. Looking around at this site is really cool. The builds on here are all great!!!The cars I build are mostly from about 1955-1978 those model years I think are the best. Most of the cars I build are stock or conversions to stock from something else. A few vintage 60s drag cars are cool too. I've been trying to paint the chassis on my cars like the factory did, but getting it right is tough. Any tips?? Thanks -Louie |

Welcome Louie glad you stopped here. Great bunch of modellers here. I put primer down on the chassis then whatever the body color is i spray a mist along the edges of the frame to look like over spray. I hope that helps you. Check out more builders cars and see what they do. Remember have fun.. |

welcome to the forum Lou! we`re glad to have you here..... the undersides of cars..........do you mean that factory look? like something brand new? what i usually do to them is shoot the underside with some gray primer, and then just mist some body color around the edges to make it look like overspray......then i go back and black out the wheel wells.......thats about it..... theres a ton of tips here, check out the building tips section of the forum......... welcome aboard!
