Hey everyone, sorry if this infringes on your boards, but it's a diorama none-the-less... :)

I make dios for action figures, and hope to someday make a garage for some 1:18 cars I have.

If this doesn't belong here, please let me know. I have been checking out a lot of work here, and I am impressed with some of the quality builds..

Anyway, onto the pics

As you will be able to see, I can easily change this from a Joe "office" to a Cobra "office" by replacing a couple of accessories and turning the crate around. That way, I can use it for pictures of both sides.

Here is what it started out as:

I have TONS of work in progress pics, but I don't want to flood this thread with the tedious updates.

It is basically 5 pieces of styrofoam, some craft wood for the floor. Scratch built table, dollhouse trim and multipane window. The "stucco" is art deco fake "snow" normally used for Christmas scenes.

If you guys really want to see all the in-process pics, I will post them.

Until then, here are a couple of my older dioramas:

My newest work in progress, a commission for someone:
This is supposed to resemble an ancient Asian Temple remains

So that's about it for now...lol

Yup! Looks like a diorama! Smells like a diorama! Feels like a diorama! Must be a diorama!

Nice work CC! Not only cool looking dioramas butr nice use of lighting with the pictures. I really like the macabre in dioramas and am digging the cemetery scene. Did you say 1/18 scale? I'd love to find some fencing like that in 1/25.

I have one problem with your stuff.....why haven't we seen it before????

Great looking work. Please stick around and keep us updated on current projects. Welcome!!

Well thanks for the positive replies!

I am glad you all enjoy my work!

You might not have seen me before because I mostly haunt the action figure boards. I was pointed here by Dave in a hat or Edshaver, I can't remember who.

You guys have some great work, and if I had more patience, I'd love to tackle a small scale dio, it would save me TONS of room in my workshop

I used to build model cars around 20 years ago(yea, I am 33) I miss it, but again, I can't stand building tiny engine parts...lol

Cool stuff. I saw your alley somewhere before. Was it here, or SA? Doesn't really matter I liked it the first time I saw it and I still like it. Have you thought about enclosing your work in a wood box or something to give it a finished look for display? Or even continue the effect on the inside on the outside (like bricks or stucco) to "finish" it off. Good work.

I basically started making dioramas as picture taking backdrops, so the outsides were never an issue for me. However, it's funny, because once I build them, I hardly ever use them for photos....lol.

Bryan, I took a quick look through the box, but I haven't been able to fully dive into it.....I will be on the lookout for the Swat figure!
