so i ended up with a couple skeletons from a rommels rod kit, and some from lil coffin, i didnt like the ribcage on the ones from rommels rod, and the others werent in a sitting positon....

so i frankentiened a sitting skeleton together from two of the other ones, and this is what i came up with......he still needs some work on his head, and i gotta get the ribs to line up....but you get the idea..

ok, i started workin on one of the heads from the rommels rod. i like these skulls better, because the have that "harryhausen" eye socket/brow look............which makes them look a little meaner than the others...

i ground down the german style hat to make it look more like a "pancake" style hat with a beak on it.....sorry for the slightly blurry pics, i cant get my camera to focus on this small stuff for some reason..................its time for a new camera!

now i will cut the head off the other skeleton, and add this one, make a strap for the goggles, and add a button to the center of the cap on top.......

Great mods Bryan but don't you think he could use a scrapple dinner to put some meat on those bones? It worked on Virgil.

Oh, man, I love the way it's posed. Perfect. That could be part of a great little scene with a rat rod . . . at a junction somewheres . . . very cool.

i mixed up some bone color from vintage white, linen, a little gray, and just a single drop of yellow......

Posted Image

then i decided on dark red for the hat, and tan on the goggles, ill do the lenses a light green like burning goggles, and put a drop of 5 minute epoxy on them so they look like glass....

more to come

the hat and goggles are pretty much done........besides making the lenses shiney, and of course everything still needs washes and powders....

Hey, I just thought of something. Since he is wearing boots and gloves (perhaps he is a police officer), how about a scarf around his neck . . . something in plaid?
