Oh, man, that's a great topic. And to be honest, I can't even count how many painted bodies and unfinished projects I have, but I can tell you it is probably a couple of dozen project, probably more.

I'll take a good inventory next time I'm at the bench. Maybe it will help me put it in perspective.

No, buddy, you are not. I can assure you you are not the only one crazy with all those unfinished projects . . .

These are some of the unfinished ones just from the Fotki archives alone:

I was looking for some stuff and came across a couple unfinished projects. I was thinking about posting them last week. I didn't get stuff out to take pictures yet.

To name a few: I have a '49 Merc that I cut the doors open then chopped the top. I sort of gave up because the doors got too complicated.

'34 Ford Pick-Up that I was making into a house truck.

'49 Chevy Bread Truck. Just didn't work.

Yeah, the pictures are sweet. I don't know about you guys, but I am glad I have lots of projects on finished. In a glance-over-at-the-shelves, I get motivated and inspired to work at the bench!!! I think that's the purpose of unfinished work, to lure you back.

WOW! Those are some great unfinished projects, but I make it a point to never start a project unless I'm sure I can finish it. :'(

I've got dozens of unfinished/unstarted projects that are mostly big trucks. There are two that really have me by the short and curly's though. One is a mill diorama that I have placed in my office so that it is in my face everyday in the hopes of shaming myself into it's finish. The other is a steam traction machine that just plain scares me.
I'm only about 4 years away from retiring and can't wait to have more bench time.

LOL, Chester, I do that. How about a huge layout in the middle of my garage floor. Everyday it is there, waiting for me to get back to it!!!!

This one looks like a dio in the making. Just put it in a shop scene, and call it done. Ryan what you need is this guy to help you out.

The old arcade dio. I remember it well.

Mercman that is one beautiful mess you got going there. No need to shoot it with some gloss and polish out the finish. It has what they say in the movie industry, "character."

I have a raft of unstarted projects, however I tend to complete one project before I move on to the next. At most I try to limit myself to 3 concurent projects. Right now I only have the 55 desoto conversion and the power plant diorama in progress. I have enough trouble keeping these two projects straight. :D

thanks
Carl
