Whether you're into trains or not, the scenic treatments are inspirational...

The blending from foreground to painted backdrop really worked on this layout:

I liked how this ravine was done on this "western" layout. You can't see the track from this angle, but it emerges from the tunnel portal:

So, did you pick up any goodies? Did you sell lots of firescapes?

Oooooh, yeah. There was a fan-friggin-tastic Hobby Shop across the street from
one of the layouts on the tour. Lots of stuff you don't normally see on the shelf,
and I dropped a bundle.

(Didn't sell any fire escapes)
