I never count the hours, but a typical diorama project with my schedule, and drying times, building, waiting on parts, etc. takes me about 3-4 months, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer...lol

The Amoco Projek : Built in Richmond Virginia in 1937, this Amoco station sold gas and oil in the Jackson Ward neighborhood until about 1959 when I- 95 more or less choked off Third Avenue off from the rest of Downtown Richmond . The building remains intact but it's future is in jepordy what with the Richmond Re- development and Housing Auithority.

The model depicts Richmond Virginia about 1948 when the servicemen were returning back home . Rationing was now a thing of the past . Service personel were now enjoying Friday night at Southside speedway where years later , Denny Hamlin would get his start exept by Denny's time , the track was now an asphalt track. Meanwhile at where the Richmond International Raseway is today , a dirt track was avalible to endurence racing in this same time frame too. Ed Shaver
