Well, after all these years of trying different looks for my daily ride, we (I mean I did the black base coat and my buddy Mark Jeffreys did the graphics) got the right look. I am very happy about this because you will know it is me when I come riding in to your town. Where will I carry my models though? LOL!

So the bike will go from this look (I am saving these tins in case I want to change it again in a few years . . . )

ONE SHOT's PROCESS BLUE is one of my favorite colors for pinstriping.

It all looks great but my question is, when will you do the salt technique on the tins?

Lou, sometimes I think you are a mind reader. That's the next look, buddy. I am going to rust out all the tins . . . faux rust, of course, and then have yet another look to try in the near future!!! :D

Who did the relief sculpture work and the castings? Plus it's not wise to smoke around a fuel tank.

Do you realize that you could poke your eye out driving one of those things? Haven't you ever watched "A Christmas Story?" Same thing but different ways of poing your eye out. Sell that vehicle now or reap the rewards of driving onto campus and doing a wheelie down the campus mall.

Ben, I did the paint and my friend Mark Jeffreys did the graphics. And added the belt buckles.

I am very happy with it.

Chester, yes, next up is a jacket and a matching helmet!!!

..that looks great, nice work! It'll make that ride look totally different! I thought about painting mine, it's 7 years old now and has a couple of highway nicks in it. Was told to leave it stock, be worth more if I decide to sell it.

That's taking it to the next level! I have to say, I'm glad you are keeping the original ones though. they are too beautiful to "mess up". The new look will be cool too, and fun, but it's good to keep your options open.

That's some sweet paint, Crank !!!
And yer right about the 1 Shot process blue. I use it a lot more than other colors also.
Now, talking about rust, here's my lid.
I experimented with Alclad for the scallops, but they didn't turn out as I expected (Chrome-ish) and when done, they just looked too generic and not funky enough for me, and I ended up 'rusting the front of the helmet.

Here's "Stinkeye" on the back, almost completed and before the clear coats :P

Foto of the helmet before 'rusting', with the crappy Alclad scallops.

I have hijacked yer thread enough already or else I'd show my ride. XS650 in a Paugho chopper frame *6)
