I'll enter the diorama of the month for the first time also - I did this one some time ago. It's a 1/87 white metal kit.

this is a little project I just finished, hadn't done any dio stuff for awhile and didn't want to start a big project, just felt like doing something simple and fun. This loosely depicts a station in Kings Beach Lk.Tahoe we used to have a time share at. :D ..B

I dont think I've entered this one. It was a club build of the 64 GTO. Needless to say final assembly did not go well, so I ended up doing this.

The fence around the lot is cardboard, with one side of it removed to show the corragation. it was painted with silver Tempra paint, then decorated with decals, and free hand painting for graffitti. The ground cover is Perma-scene, over a styrofoam base. A old AMT 32 ford coupe kit was added along with other, pieces I had from various kits.

I gave the diorama to our local hoby shop, for his window display, where it is still on display today 18 years after it was built.

Ok, guys. I gotta try.

This is the Zesto, a '50s & '60s burger drive-up joint from my youth in Atlanta(back in the Dark Ages.) It's 1/24-25th and scratch built from foam-core. The cars are "high school mild" style of the period except for the old Chevy which belongs to the cook.

That's the cook flippin' burgers.

Light from the full sun makes 'em look shinier than they are.

A REAL ONE OUT IN OMAHA.

I built this thing about a year ago for the Atlanta NNL. The interior of the place is complete with all the short-order goodies and equipment but I've never gotten a decent picture of it. The dio is in storage and disassembled for now. (Too dang big!)
