Oh, I get it. We do it here, on this thread . . . now, Jim, you realize that in a matter of months, this thread will be about 25 pages long with lots of storylines . . .

But I see the idea, if you are feeling "chatty" or what to produce some "chat" of your own, you post here.

The other problem is that this will get bumped to the back of the line if people don't have any new "chat."

See what I mean? So unless it is pinned so that it always stays up front, then we revert to the usual random posted/produced "chat."

Comprende Pardner? ;)

Your correct. But I figure we'll know very quickly if it works and if it needs to be pinned.

If this idea works it won't need pinned. But it won't work. You'll certainly never see me post anything here...

I wish you luck on making this work...I tried to get chats going in the BandD Chatroom with little success...seems many couldn't get in there???...I think in most cases it was because they didn't have Java or had it but it wasn't working...probably because of firewall or security settings, since that isn't an issue here it's possible it could work.

I'll add some small talk, now

HJ I got the CD and yours is on it's way to you, let me know how you like it.
I haven't listened to yours yet as it won't play on my computer here at the shop.

Chester, I got certified grounding on all my dust collector duct work, so I feel a might safer now... ;)

Great, Can’t wait to hear your band.

Does your computer at work regularly have trouble playing music CD’s. Or did I goof up when I made the CD???

The songs on the CD have no titles or other information. Maybe that’s why it does not work……

We can discuss anything we want.

But I have this funny feeling that this thread won't work. As soon as they pinned it I had a feeling it was doomed.

Several reasons.

1. It takes some thought to decide what to post on this thread. i.e. "is my subject matter important enough for a seperate thread? Is my subject matter chat?" etc, etc, etc.

2. We all have egos and when we have an idea or thought we want the headlines that go with a new post.

3. We are diorama builders and we think in an organized manner. We want things to be organized. A chat thread would be an unorganized pile of random thoughts.

Shall I go on???

Sure, I thought so too, because as people post and then the audience lose interest, it really becomes an extremely large thread to go through, and then you don't want people getting upset over the minuteae and or esoterica subjects . . .

I would say though that this could in fact serve for very small chat topics, or random alerts . . .

like NEWFLASH: HOLLYWOOD SPRINGS FROM JAIL--read all about it in my newly posted thread . . . etc . . .

Egos, we don't have no stinking egos . . . arrrgh!!!
