Folks, Ken needs a favor from all of us, and that is not to post our comments on the Kruize thread he's got going . . . .he wants to be able to tell the story chronologically and also it is much easier for everyone to log in and enjoy it without or comments slowing the storyline down.

Hope everyone will post their comments here:

So you can talk about it here and now all you want!!!

Cheers on a happy 2007 Kruize!!! ;)

Hopefully the boys at B&D can help pin this one to the top so we can always find it and comment as the events unfold!!! Thanks, gents!

It's been fun to have been here from the beginning. Merc's stuff looks great . . . and I can't believe I'm gonna be standing in the hot son with that sign for hours . . . man, I think I am going to fry . . . but it's gonna help everyone spot the entrance.

The lighting is making the whole dio come alive. It's got my vote for dio of the year award for this one. Maybe they will feature it in Scale Auto magazine. Nah.

Virg, put out the cigar until after the kids take their nap and put your arms down once in a while. How are you going to put the money in your pocket? You are charging for parking aren't you? Is the sign two sided or do you rotate once every thirty seconds?

I'm off to the post office to get my vintage racer in for the extended Kruize. By the time I'm back the beer tent and the funnel cake stand better be open.

I think the master puppeteer has gone out for lunch himself, Lou . . . yeah, mail it in . . . we are all giving you hearty AMENS!!!

Yeah, the lighting and backdrop are sure working just right . . . the story is beginning to develop nicely.

I love Merc's trinity of Mercs . . . that's a great way to open a car show!!!

Hey, Dan, thanks for postinga notice over at the SAM forum! Hopefully that will get a few folks to look this way . . .

Virg,

I think one of the trinity of Mercs is actually a Ford.

I went to the SA forum and posted a reply regarding comments to be posted here.

I went to the Model Cars forum and couldn't find anything listed under dioramas. Is it somewhere else?

$bf& Virgil, guess I just didnt read far enough down the line I deleted my posts under the Kruise thread, so as to clean it up. Lack of sleep is the culprit. Been up all nite polishing up the trio of cars.

Yeah the red one is a 49 Ford, the other two are Mercs. The Bronze color one, and the Ford are from Alloy Forms kits. I bought these back when they first came out many years ago. The black Merc is a clear plastic bodied piece, that came 3 in a package.

I have one on the bench now that is getting the dirt track treatment, and one more unbuilt as of yet.

Thanks for the Pinned Thread, Sully. You and Ben are the best. You may
not have a rod at the Kruize, but your involvement has definitely earned
you a Goodie Bag!

On another note, guys, the last photos posted may be it for the outdoor
shots today. I really didn't anticipate the long set-up time for each pose,
and by the time I move things around it may be too dark for good shots.
I may have to move inside. Hopefully, there will be more pix later.
Look at the it this way...the longer it takes to shoot, the longer the FUN will last!

Thanks for your patience and thanks for your wonderful level of enthusiasm
and committment to the Kruize!!!

This is a GREAT start, Hamilton!!! Yeah, take it slow . . . I'm in need of a big bathroom break. I've been sitting watching and laughing for hours now . . .

Guys, you all have made some amazing contributions to the Kruize. I love all the vehicles I've seen so far . . . from that candy blue Willys to Dave's ratted out heavy-weight truck . . . it's been a blast so far . . .

What an amazing ride it's turning out to be . . .

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!! 7$ *c) *6)

Ken, Virg, and all the rest of the dio guys. I might not be in person with you on this Kruise, but I can guaranty you guys that I'm with you in heart.......... ;)

Looking at Kens pics I can see myself setting on the fence with my best girl, holding hands, and watching all the Kruisers come in..............oh what a great day it is............ :D

Reminds me of the days, not so long ago, when Dianne and I used to attend the same kind of Kruises in our 56 Olds 88............ "Wow"..........those were the days......

This is simply put the best fun one can have without leaving the house. (Well, some of the best fun, if you know what I mean ;) --pure Americana eye candy, great stuff.

And to think there's still lots more coverage in the coming days . . .

Ken's doing a fantastic job with this. It almost makes me want to pee in my... Actually I'll go over to the tree line and water the poison ivy.

The woman at the post office asked, " Do you really want to mail this? The Mays Landing post office is over loaded at the present time." I said, "Yes, this must get there as soon as possible. It's a build in the competition class and is sponsored by a major contributor to this effort." She blew her whistle. (I never realized they used whistles in the post office) and my package was escorted away. Do all postal workers wear blue latex gloves or is it only those that handle priority mail going to Mays Landing?

I just got back, took a good long paruse of the grounds so far. The colors, variety, shapes and sizes are amazing. And that's just the TREES! But seriously folks...

The way our Kruize host is setting up all the shots looks so much like a 1/1 it's almost scary. And the way our Forum hosts are giving us so much space for this is amazing! Thanks again to ALL!

Anyway the atmosphere at the Kruize is perfect! Karz, people, booths, the shop, (who built that gas truck by the way?!?!?) the grounds themselves, what a Kandy overload! It's a good thing this is gonna take a while to present, so we can soak it all in.

And ain't it fun to see our vehicles mingled in amongst all the other Kruizerz? Dan

I just got a call from my maiden aunt Stella and she says she can't go anywhere because of a big tie up in southern Jersey. She said there's a bunch of junk cars crowding the roads. I asked her, "Are some of the cars shiney?," and she replied, "Yes." I guess her concept of junk is old. Well I told her to go back to the mall and make a left rather than a right out of the parking lot. Hopefully that will clear things up a bit in southern Jersey.

Virg,

Give it a break already, put down the sign and go get a cold beer and a light for your cigar. People at this time realize there is something going on. Knock it off! You are probably one of those people who raise funds for the volunteer fire department waiting with a bucket on the major holidays so you can raise enough money to spend $750,000 on a piece of apparatus that is only used in Shriner parades. Go home and work on your Possum Pass layout. Enough's enough. *Co*

I just noticed in the last picture of the entrance to the Kruize there is a guy passed out on the ground with a yellow shirt and beige pants to the left of Virg.

Kool! The dude must have been hanging with the tailgate crew since last night. Notice the indifference shown by the police. There is going to be some good times this week

GOT MILK?

Someone's gotta help me with the sign tomorrow . . .

I am fried . . . now I have to run to the Mizpah and soak in a bathtub with aveeno or some such potion to make the sunburn more bareable.

Also, who's buying dinner later . . . and I hear rumors that there's Rockabilly band that's gonna play in the Lizard Lounge and there's a high probability that Hollywood "Wristy" Jim will sit in on the drums . . .

Might be just a rumor . . . :P

Simply amazing! This is better than the Oakland roadster show some builders did a few years back. I was going to get a room at the local motel but I think I will hang with the others here on the grounds.

Virg,

Take two Advils and a six pack of PBR's and you will be fine in the morning. Are you working Monday?
