Banter? What banter, I thought Ken hung that up early this morning. Is there an extra charge from B & D if we chit chat here, versus chit chat there in a chat room? Also where is everybody else? There is some great stuff going on here. I tried counting the cars so far on the grounds and it looks like it is about half full, or half empty depending on how you see life. |

I think Chester, NK, and Hollywood are travelling, and then I've seen Dave, Dan, Daveinthehat, Mercman, and a few others lurking . . . but I think it must be a busy weekend for everyone, either that or the Emperor's Cup is one, or Curling matches from Iceland!!! The chat room by the way has now become a bit more complex to get in and out of . . . but if you follow the instructions, you can get into the B&D chat room. |

It's just a guess on my part but I bet Ken's going to do a sundown shoot in the next few hours. And I bet he shot it this morning with the low slanting sun and just reversed the dio so the sun appears to come in from the opposite direction. I would have done it that way if my camera's memory card wasn't full. Temperature is suppose to drop to 40 degrees overnight in Mays Landing, not cold but a bit chilly to run around in shorts and no top, unless of course... If the cool temperatures continue and if I was Ken I would start making sure that the trees on the far side of the fields are protected. I can hear Johnnie Mathis (was he invited to the Kruize) singing, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost having a second beer and another to stave off the chill." |

Virg, I told you before, but you wont listen. Saturday afternoon is college football time. Nobody goes on line until 6:00PM in the fall. Ken should have started the Kruize at 6:30 or Tuesday morning. Excuse me while I go out and buy a portable generator so I can watch my old college team play tonight. I really could go for a hot scrapple sandwich on Jewish rye toast right now. |

I can stay home, the wife can have me do stuff and I can still be at the cruise. Can't beat that.!!!! Great picture taking.!!! Wow, looks like lots of different kinds of cars showed up. (Hey Ken, How do you get all those tiny HO people to stand up.?? And how do you move them around????) LOOKIN' GOOOOD.!! |

What happened? Was the Kruize rained out? Did Virg run off with the profits? The funnel cake stand exploded and three thousand visitors were killed? My stock car went amuck and devoured all the little children because their buddy wasn't milked this morning? A tsunami hit Mays Landing and there weren't enough life rafts supplied by Dave in the Hat? Hugh Hefner was giving out free samples? What gives? |

Well, an unexpected visit by the grandchildren put an abrupt end to my playtime today! Things I learned about the Kruize today: 1) This is going to take WAY longer to shoot then I ever suspected. The storylines, sub-plots, activities, etc., I have in mind will take more time to set up than I thought. Then there's the cropping, posting to Fotki, kicking them over to the Forum, etc. This is an absolute BLAST and the cars are really fun to play with, and with all the work you guys have done on your cars I want to spent the time and do this up right. Hope you'll bear with me. 2) Direct sunlight is great for Kruize pictures, but the only area in my driveway that is good for directt lighting is limited to only a few hours a day. Looks like much of the Kruize will the shot inside. 3) I wish all you guys were here to see all these fantastic models in person. Getting them all in one place at one time is simply mind-boogling. You guys are the best. I'll feed you as much eye candy as I can as quickly as possible while doing the best I can to make this "real"!! Thanks, guys............ |

Yup that's Tommy. I emailed him and told him to post over here. Long time no see. I wonder if he ever got the pictures of my build. Take your time Ken. It's like sipping fine wine. Just remember 4am and 4 pm. Where are you staging the competition "stock" cars? I'm not talking about my other stock build, nope, I'm wondering about the build I've sent today. Can I hear an AMEN? I'm telling you this is "DIORAMA OF THE YEAR AWARD" material. It should be moved to the hall fame in Cleveland with all the other great performers and performances. |

Ken needs a well deserved rest given all the excitement going on at the Kruize. I don't about you other guys but I'm heading down the road to a place that use to be a Hooters franchise but now is a Romanian seafood place with exotic dancers. See you tomorrow morning or afternoon. |

I've been in the shop most of the day. The new shop trck is done, all I have to do is load up the pics to photobucket. Also I was teaching class again. My daughters boyfriend is building a 65 Ford stocker, and I'm teaching him how. Along with that I had to sort thru models and get ready for the swap meet on the 28th, cleaning out a whole lot of 1/25th to make room for HO size. There's a good possibility I maybe moving in the spring. So better to rid myslf of some of it than to have to pack it all. Besides I still have more than what I know what to do with. Also got some bracing on the new shop build pics will be posted soon,Virgil I promise, as soon as I get thru with post. Getting ready for the paint crew, and landscapers. Also brought in a pro, and had her design a logo for the shop. Will need your opinions on it. Tomorrow she will be doing some more work for me. She works cheap, only had to feed her supper, plus I dropped a little petty cash on her also. thank god for smart kids. To Ken, i agree take all the time you need. I dont think anyone will complain. It's turning out great, IMHO it tops the diorama you did for the museum, have fun and work at your own speed. This is supposed to fun, not a job.1:6? ![]() One more item, exotic dancers, yum.

No problem with a long Kruise here Ken. Actually if you think about it, the longer the better. More fun.... |

Welcome back from your long day, Mercman . . . Ken, I have a hard time distinguishing between the great quality of the pictures outside and inside. I think most of us would agree that the "inside" pix are just as good . . . Whatever makes it easier and more pleasureable for you, buddy . . . don't sweat outside and get the back of your neck sunburned . . . Stay cool indoors, in your comfy slippers, etc . . . take your time. You've heard this many times already. Again, thanks . . . My favorite part is the cross pollination that is taking place with guys coming from other forums to check the Kruize out . . . it helps build a larger community. Cheers, V. |

Are you kidding? This morning when I got to the Speed Shop to see the first cars pull in it was 38-degrees! Warmed up nicely later, but mornings around here are starting to get chilly. Anybody needing extra blankets at the Mizpah Motor Lodge can get them from the front desk. |

....just a little dab of Walther's "GOO" on the bottom of their tiny little feet is enough to keep them upright most of the time. They pull off easily, too, and don't leave any residue or lift the turf. It's good stuff. |

Well I guess that wraps it up for another year at the annual Mays Landing Kruize. The weather was perfect and the cars shined beautifully in the dappled fall sunlight. Plaques were awarded for the first one hundred entrants and everyone had a great time. Thanks Ken for all your hard work. Virg although I didn't have much time to chat and share cigars with you, it was great seeing you again. Time to close down this forum and move on. So what's next on the agenda?
