ok guys, i guess i will jump in with both feet here. this is my pro street monte carlo, from the r/m kit. the hood and rear spoiler are scratchbuilt, along with a ton of other stuff,
i added one of those great 572 big blocks from mannyclub. the frame had the tubs from the amt superbee kit grafted to it, along with the rear suspension and differential. the "optima" battery is scratchbuilt, i cut open the trunk, shortened the interior bucket, way too much stuff to even list here.

as always thanks for looking! Bryan M

I finished this up last Sunday. It's a Revell 1960 Chevy lowrider kit. It depicts the car that Rex White drove in the 1960 "Southern 500". Later on that year he was crowned the Nascar Grand National Champion for 1960. I had to scratchbuild the dash ,the quarter windows, the roll cage, the air cleaner, fill in the 1/4 panels and tailight areas, made functionig hood pins from small sewing needles. I also had to scratchbuild the areas in the front of the front fenders to replicate what the real car looked like. I had to make my own decals for the numbers on the doors, roof and trunk because no one makes the correct sheet for this car. I also had to make the "built by" decals on the front fenders and the "Air Lift" decals. I'm told that the roof and trunk numbers were flourescent but I don't think they were this late in the season and I can't make flourescent decals anyway. Hope you like it.

Here's my entry for the month. Ricky Rudd Quaker State Buick. Cut 2 sets of decals to get the gold stripe to go straight across the front bumper. Cut the cross tubes off the headers and filled in the holes, then made my own exhaust pipes out of brass tubing. Added plug wires to the engine and removed the plastic window net. Aftermarket net with p/e hardware is draped on the inside of the car. Thought I had more pics, but can't find them. Car now resides with my brother.
