Heh heh heh... Mwa ha ha... Uwee hee hee! I'm back and this time I'm rocking the body of a native american girl. Gone is the headband and the gi, now I wear only my bikini. I'll admit, I'm a tad unsure of how things are going to go for me this time. Last time I played everyone was talking to everyone right from the get go. This time, we have our tribes and I'm on a tribe of all veterans. Now there could be several other second-timers like myself or I could be surround by winners and 6-time vets. Either way, I don't know who these people are and they don't know me. Since I'm a girl this time around there's the obvious options of starting a female alliance and flirting with the "men". I'm not interested in that however. If I'm approached by a guy to flirt or for a black widow alliance then sure I'll roll with it, but I"m not just going to blindly follow it. 3 years I've been playing these games and my stances on things have changed very little. One such thing that has never changed is my disgust of gender-based alliances and flirting in a game. We'll see if my time as a woman here in Bangkok will change that at all. I'm also a tad nervous about the fact that I'm supposed to go see a movie tonight. I didn't realize it coincided with the start of the game tonight but hopefully it won't affect me too bad. I'll just have to pick up the slack once I get home. |

Heh, you know me Brobst I just LOVE to confessionalize! I'm quite excited for this season. Last season there were several comments made about how it felt like an All-Star season despite having myself and two other rookies. This time, I've shed the rookie status and I'm on a tribe of all vets so it'll be interesting to see how my tribe acts when we all know that we've done this rodeo before. Some people like myself will be out for a bit of redemption to improve on our prior performance whereas others want to show just why they are Veterans and should be respected. I have no idea who my fellow Veterans are though I imagine Jared is probably here somewhere. But I'm sure if he is here then he's learned from his old weasely days. The Rookies I am intrigued by as I have to sit back and wonder if I know any of them. It's certainly possible there is a Facebooker amongst them and if so I hope I crush them. Facebookers get looked down on a tad here in Brobstland and I want to prove that I'm the best of them. Elyse is ready to go! |

Oh god. Flirting with Judd and Yau-Man. I feel so freaking awkward about it. Hopefully this phase of the conversation dies soon. I'd much rather be talking about what we're going to do in the game than dancing around in my bikini drinking beer. But I gotta go with the flow for now. Can't come off as too pushy or I'll be cut early. |

I just about had a flipout moment when Judd called me Lisi in a message. Had to take a moment to realize that Lisi isn't even in this game and then it hit me. Duh! Lisi is short for Elyse. Way to go me. Way to go. |

Late Night Confessionals Are Go! So thus far on my tribe I've talked to Yau-Man, Darrah, Judd and Keith the most. I'm feeling pretty good about Yau-Man, Darrah and Judd but Keith... I'm hesitant on. Keith came up with the idea to form an alliance of 5 between himself, me, Judd, Darrah and Yau-Man. Now, I like this alliance but what I don't like is the fact that Keith didn't approach me about it. Keith told Yau-Man to ask me if I wanted in the alliance but he tells Darrah that he already talked to me and I'm good for it. Ummm what? Whoa whoa dude. Stick to a story. On top of that, Keith claimed to Yau-Man that the alliance was Darrah's idea whereas Darrah is saying Keith came to her about it. Keith, buddy, you're walking on thin ice. I'm not saying if we lose Keith is going home, but as far as this alliance of 5 is concerned and if it really stays true though the game, he's at the bottom of it at least in my eyes. I'm not sure where I stand with the other members of the tribe though. When Gillian, Brendan and the others were getting online I was at the movies missing out on talking time which could hurt me. I'm sure I can make it all back up tomorrow but we'll see. I have a way of getting most people to like me so that should help. All we need is one more person on our side at the first vote and we can dictate how things go for a while. Personally, I'm kinda hoping for one of the members of my tribe to be more of an inactive player, that way we have an easy first boot that everyone will agree on and then, assuming the 5-person alliance sticks together, we've got control of our tribe. That would be the ideal situation. My top two right now are Yau-Man and Darrah. I like me some Judd too, but he hasn't quite reached their level yet. Between the two of them I'm not sure who I would label as my number 1. Maybe it's best I don't pick one of them so that I don't trap my mind into one option or the other. Make them both feel like I'm their number 1 and go from there. I'm also very glad that the flirting nonsense betweenYau-Man and myself is done. Good god. If I had to keep that up I would have seriously considered trying to get him voted out. The hot girls tends to be expected to flirt but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I want to stay as far away from the flirting angle as I can. Yeah yeah I started with the flirting with Yau-Man and Judd, but I needed an ice breaker so there it was. The less I have to do of it in the future the better. Starting this season is definitely a bit of a different experience than my last season. Instead of getting messages from 17 other people all at the same time now I'm only getting messages from 9 people at once. Much more manageable. How the hell I was able to keep up in Movie Mayhem I will never know. I have to admit I feel a tad inadequate right now. I feel like they put me out on the island as a fresh Survivor player and I have Boston Rob, Todd, Cesternino and several of the other Survivor greats on my tribe and I'm just the newbie standing around like a moron. I mean yeah, I'm a vet too, but this is only my second Brobst game so I guess I feel a tad out of place. Thank god I don't know who any of these people are or I would probably feel even worse. I mean, heck, last season I was a pre-merge boot and all these other people probably made merge in most if not all of their Brobst games. Just a bit of early game anxiety. At least I hope that's all it is. I normally don't get the game jitters until the merge. If I let them get to me know so early in the game, I'm a goner. I need to push forward though. I need to solidfy my position with people and get these thoughts of inadequacy out of my head. I need a Lucy. I need somebody who I can trust implictly and just bounce crazy shit off of. I definitely plan to talk more people up tomorrow. I need to get a better feel for everyone. While 9 others to talk to is considerably less than the 17 at the start of Mayhem, it's more than the 5 I had to contend with once I had my initial Mayhem tribe. It's easier to solidify your position in a smaller tribe I think than a larger one. Too easy to get lost in the noise and that's one thing I cannot afford. If I had to give up a name for possible vote target at this point I'm not sure what I'd tell you. It's too early. Everyone came online the first day. None of this waiting for Romeo and Apollo crap from Movie Mayhem. Everyone is here to play. If I absolutely had to pick someone though to vote out right this second I'd probably go with Chad simply because I've talked to him less than the others. Nothing else to go off of besides that. But who knows, maybe tomorrow Chad and I will really hit it off and he'll become my new favorite. We'll have to see. Gillian seems a little odd though. Not sure what it is about her but something just seems off. If she starts carrying around elephant dung I might smack her. Also, how annoying is it when somebody signs a PM with their name or their initials? I mean seriously. I know you are Gillian. It says so right there and it has a picture of your face. You don't need to sign every message you send me with “Gill”. I mean c'mon. What's the bloody point of that? There isn't one! Gah. Just a pet peeve of mine I suppose. As for this challenge, my tribemates seem to think that we will have to post pictures of various camp supplies which to me sounds too simple but I guess we'll see. Either way, better to look like I'm a contributor and look for pictures tomorrow than to just sit back on my ass. Also, I'm typing this at like 2:30 in the morning and I pop online to see if I have any PMs and to post this and I see Keith is online. So I check my PMs and nothing from Keith. So dude, you want me in a five-man alliance with you but you don't want to talk to me about it? Yeahhhhh okay. Great job making me feel good about you. You're really a star player. /sarcasm. |

A much different start than last season, structure-wise. Hard to imagine a full tribe of Rookies being able to keep their heads above water if it was an open PM setting thus far. Had to "contain" it all this time to begin. Could be a help or a hindrance, depending on how you look at it. |

Gillian casually mentioning the girls being easier to talk to than the boys. Could this be Gillian trying to push for a Female Alliance? If so, major eyerolls at that. I believe I've already stated my feelings on gender-based alliances. However, I would be foolish to shut it out. I've already begun pointing the finger a little at Chad as someone who doesn't talk very much so if Gillian wants the women to get together then suddenly I'm in two alliances and Chad isn't in either of them so it would be easy to take him out and make the women feel good while at the same time my initial alliance of 5, which for now I guess I'll call the Temple Rulers, feels good because they think they'll be in the majority as well. Which alliance would I actually go with the Temple Rulers or the possible Team Estrogen alliance? Hard to say at this point especially because one doesn't exist yet. But if this second alliance does come to light then that puts Darrah and I smackdab in the middle of them both and we could control which alliance holds the power. |

Two people are being stupid today. Brendan and Gillian. Brendan's stupidity stems from telling Judd that he wants to lay low for now and then make a move later. Well Brendan, that's something you should NEVER tell another player. Let me tell you a story. There was once a Big Brother game I played in and another player told me how he was going to throw all the challenges and lay low until the final five and then he was going to start taking control. Well first of all waiting to take control until the final five is just stupid. Second of all that's a very foolish thing to say to somebody. Especially when that somebody is also planning on throwing challenges up until that point in the game. So what did I do? Well, he told me this at final 9 so immediately I go to my allies and start telling him what he says to me and then come final 6 I win HoH and send his ass packing. Now what's the point of this story? It's simple. Don't let me find out that your plan is to lay low and then come out striking later because I will take you out before you get a chance to make your move. As for why Gillian is being stupid, that'll come later. Gotta see what else is going on with her first. |

While I should be amazed at the things people choose to say in these games or the way they choose to phrase them...... ........I guess I really shouldn't.

I know right?! I mean seriously people. Whether you're playing Survivor or you are just out in public watch what you say. A single word misinterpreted can send you home before you even realize what you did. There's been several times I'm typing up something in a PM and I think that it could be misinterpreted in a way I really wouldn't want so I nix it and start over. People. What more can I say. Okay. So as for Gillian. While at first I thought maybe Gillian was trying to put together a girl's alliance that no longer seems to be the case. I'm guessing one of the ladies didn't give her the response she was looking for. But now Gillian is proposing an alliance of her, Judd, Chad and Michelle and she said to Judd that she is "thinking" about adding Darrah and me. Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch. You did not just consider leaving me out of your alliance plans. Oh hellllllllll no. Gillian is one of those players that I can just tell wants to get the game moving and start the backstabbing side of the game. She is hungry for it. She sent out messages to multiple people about forming pacts with them and that they should work together. Judd and Darrah both told me this. Guess who didn't get a message about forming a pact? ME! Think I like that? Oh helllllllllll no! Granted, even if Gillian did message me to work in a pact I wouldn't hold true to it. I get very weird vibes from her and I do not like it. Her and Kimmi both. Well okay, let me explain. I like Kimmi, I do. But. Like Gillian you can tell that Kimmi wants to really jump in with the gameplay hard. She's asked me twice tonight about alliances. She is very antsy and that makes me a tad bit nervous. Previously I was pointing a finger at Chad for a possible first vote but now I'm thinking Gillian or Kimmi. I have to be careful though with who I talk to about them because you never know who they are tight with. If I tell Chad that I want to vote out Kimmi and then it turns out they have a final 2 well then suddenly that plan is going to blow up in my face. I'd like to not pick up votes from the minority this season like I did in Movie Mayhem. I assume deadlocked tiebreakers will once again be broken by Past Votes based on what Brobst said when it happened to me last season and if that's the case I want as few votes against me as humanly possible. I threw out a feeling on Kimmi to Brendan. Odd choice to ask about her I agree but Judd told me that Brendan wants to just sit in the background and let others make the moves. I don't want him to do that. I want to try and push him out from the shadows if I can and make him more visible. I don't want him to just be able to slide through the game and wind up in the final two. Not saying it's not a valid strategy but I know exactly how danger such a strategy can be. I did it before in a game and I wound up winning so no Brendan, I'm not going to let you slide through the game skulking about in the shadows. Sorry. I still don't feel very secure with my position in this tribe though. I feel great with Judd and Darrah and I think Michelle and I have a good bond for the moment. Yau-Man I haven't seen on at all today but I think he and I are still good. Keith and I are getting a bit closer as well. So that's 5 people I feel really good with. So why do I feel nervous? It's simple. Last time I played I was on a 6 person tribe with an alliance of three, an obvious first boot and a side-alliance with Atreyu. It was Easy Mode. I could just sit back and go through the motions playing through the challenges and then once the tribe swap happened the intensity was ramped up and I was sent packing. This time, I have 9 other people to worry about. There is a lot more room for craziness and vote flipping. Yeah I feel good about the Early Bird Five, yeah we're no longer the Temple Rulers, but there is a possibility that another majority alliance was formed before that alliance and they are the ones who are really in control and even if they weren't formed beforehand they could be formed now or tomorrow and they could have the true majority and I could be on the outs. I don't feel secure. I don't. But I can't let that insecurity push me to do something crazy. I gotta play it cool. Once we go to Tribal Council for the first time and see how the vote goes that will determine whether I feel safe or not. Of course if we get the voting tallies are hidden again twist I am going to slam my face into a wall. Repeatedly. Going to wait to do a first impressions like confessional till either tomorrow night or Sunday night. But for now I think I'll rank my tribemates in order of how much I like them. Should be fun to see how much this changed throughout the game. 1. Darrah 2. Judd 3. Yau-Man 4. Michelle 5. Keith 6. Kimmi 7. Chad 8. Brendan 9. Gillian Chad is difficult to place since I just haven't gotten the chance to talk with him much yet. I don't want him to have to abandon his vacation but if he can't talk to everyone regularly he's going to find himself at Loser Lodge. |

Also, I notice that posts in our confessionals do not raise our post count. I can't tell you just how much I love this feature. Major improvement I feel. Players can't try and use your post count to determine who is saying more in their confessionals and identify them as more of a threat. |

Yeah, I finally found the specific feature that adjusts that. Was planning on mentioning that to all Vets so you're all aware. (no need to mention to the Rooks since it's not something they would have seen before from previous seasons) P.S. I quite enjoy the thoroughness of your Confessional.

So Michelle and I have been talking today forming a bond and we talk about working with Gillian and seeing who else she thinks we could pair up with. Michelle tells me to expect a message from Gillian soon because Gillian suggestd Darrah and Kimmi and to run with the Estrogen Alliance. Well I just got a message from Gillian and there is absolutely no mention of the girls or an alliance anywhere. What the fuck Gillian. You are just digging your hole deeper and deeper. Say hi to the elephant dung for me. |
